2. III.1.- Integrated Security
The AB is exposed to various kinds of aggressions
Like:
Physical: Chemical: Aggressions:
- Noise - Gases - Force that go beyond
- Heat - Spray the human resistance.
- Radiations – Pesticides
- Abnormal Pressures – Solvents
We can also add social and Psychological Aggressions

3. III.2.- Principles of Risk Prevention
 Moral Duty: Any injury is morally unacceptable if
everything reasonable was not done to prevent it.
 Social Responsibility: The Transformation or
Transportation of products must not be done, if there is any
degradation or mutilation of the workers.
 Legal Obligation: The Employer must take all measures to
protect the life and health of the workers.
 Economic Reasons: Safety is always good for business.
 Competitive Advantage: To mark the difference, correcting
the errors at the origin, elevate results.

4. III.3.- Social Responsibilities
 The Rights and Duties of the Crew:
What refers to payment, food, rest, shifts, vacations, are
expressed in the work contract and signed before the Maritime Authority.
 Work Conditions:
The Work conditions are given by the work contract and by the
onboard rules. The conflict of interests can be taken to the work
inspection or civil courts.
 Drugs and Alcohol:
The Consumption of alcohol and drugs are complicated subjects
in the work environment. Alcohol is used by many people in social
occasions for relaxing. THIS IS NOT THE SAME CASE FOR
DRUGS. The abuse of alcohol, specially if it bothers others, can be
considered an abuse.
