4.  Main aims of the Act are to;
 Secure the health, safety and welfare of
people at work
 Protect people other than those at work
against risks to health and safety
 Control the handling and storage of
dangerous substances
 Control the emission into the atmosphere of
offensive substances

5.  Taking care of their own safety
 Taking care of the others who may be
affected by their actions
 Cooperating with employer to ensure that
the requirements of the act are met
 Not misusing equipment provided to maintain
health and safety
