2. Process
My first step was to come up with a script
detailing the moments exactly from when
I wake up to having breakfast and finally
leaving for college. I had originally had
the idea to have me and my dad voice act,
but due to my bad memory I had to
record both voice lines only one had a
lower tone while the other had a high
tone. The last part was to high lighting all
of the necessary sound effects to match,
also with the high lighted words it was
more easier to find all the specific sounds
for my experiment.

3. Process
The next step was to find all the
highlighted sound effects to add
them to my morning routine to
make my experiment seem
more realistic. All of these
sound effects were downloaded
from a website called:
Freesound. After I found all the
sound effects I downloaded
them and place them in a folder
to save for later and then to
export to premiere for when I
need to use them.

4. Process
The next step while over half-
term I recorded voice lines of
myself speaking lines from the
script I made. At the last minute
at the start of Monday 28th Feb.
I recorded the last voice lines
that was the impression of my
dad. I forgot ask for my dad’s
help over half-term so I
recorded all my dad’s lines in a
more deeper voice to give the
illusion that he was saying
them.

5. Process
Next step was to get all the
sound effects and voice lines on
premiere pro to complete the
experiment. After getting
introduced to the effects on
premiere pro I decided to
experiment with them on some
of the voice lines and sound
effects to help fit or transitions
better with them. Also because
of the house I live in I used use
reverb effects on some voice
lines so you could tell the
differences between my lines
and my dad’s lines.

6. Process
Morning routine experiment.
The final step, after the effects were added
to the voice lines and the sound effects all I
had to do was export it as a MP3 to my
documents and it was finished.

7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– One element I will include in my final product will be voice actors to
play other characters, because if more than one person is voice
acting characters it makes a story more realistic and lively compare
to just one voice actor.
– Another element I will be including is using downloaded and
recorded sound effects for specific moments in my crime story. Some
sound effects that can be recorded like a door opening and closing,
chime sounds, but the sounds that I have to download range from a
gun shots, crackly fire and tires screeching.
