-This behind the scenes video is of a legging
brand called love leggings who want to get
their brand out.
-It was shot in and around Dewsbury, North
Yorkshire, around late-mid 2018. I didn’t see
any effects used in the final video.
-This BTS contains mainly the video side of the
production. But it also very slightly includes the
photography side.
-There isn’t much lighting, props, colours or
fonts.
-The only form of mise en scene, is when the
photographer is telling the models what they
will be doing within the next photographs.
-There is only 2 locations shown in the BTS,
which is in a park and inside a studio.
-This promotional video shows how well the
leggings can cope with every-day tasks.
- In this screenshot to the right, the creators go
over a small equipment list, this can give an
insight to what can give the best results.

-In this wedding BTS, Taylor is a lone
photographer where hes shooting with a
Nikon 50mm 1.4 and Nikon 24mm 1.8
-This video was shot in Canada with no
specific location
-The angle was mainly an over the shoulder
view, where they can see what he is doing.
-For the post-production, he includes the
finalised image but doesn’t show any of the
editing process.
-With the lighting he managed to usea lot of
natural lighting to create stunning outdoor
wedding photos whilst family photos weren’t
blown out and overexposed and
-There wasn’t any post-production effects
used.
-For the mise en scene, the wedding
attendees positions were all natural and
wasn’t manipulated by the photographer at
all.
There isn’t any known use of props, fonts

In this Behind the scenes video, he doesn’t
mention anything about where the studio
shown is located.
He only used a head on portrait, with the use
of 4 separate lights all using the alienbee b800.
He suggests that if youre just starting out then
he would recommend mastering 1 light first.
There isn’t any evidence of post production or
effects.
For lighting he has 2 strip boxes behind the
subject, a umbrella behind him, and a key light
above them both.
He uses colours that compliment each other
massively. Such as a creamy white with a deep
grey.
There is no sign of the post-production,
location or fonts.
Although it might not bring much advice,
viewers might want to watch this video

This video here, is mainly just a teaching
video on how you can use a kit lens to the
hight of your ability if you don’t have any
other lenses at your disposal. Like what I
want to product, it goes over everything you
would need to know when tarting out, such
as the basics. It doesn't pose any of the
characteristics of the other videos, but it is
very similar to what I would want to
produce.
It goes overs a few things such as aperture,
focal length, its limitations. He goes through
these in a lot of detail.
The title of this video could possibly catch
the viewers' attention, as doing this they
could learn how to use their kit lens to the
best of its ability with the detail provided
within.
6. Production techniques EP1
In this first screenshot, we can clearly see that he
is the main subject of this scene. Im looking for
something similar to this at it draws the attention
of the viewer, keeping their eyes on the main
subject.
In this second screenshot, the lead photographer
is seen talking to the main subjects telling then
what’s happening and how its going to happen.
This is something im looking for as it shows that
the more communication, the better.
In this third screenshot it shows how deep the
photographer goes to get the shot. But it also
shows the creativity. I’m looking for something
this expressive but simple.
7. Production techniques EP2
In this video, there isn’t very much I’m able
to annotate/compare to what I’m looking for
in my project.
But there are some similarities in other
things within this video.
Within this first screenshot, he goes over the
equipment he’ll be using throughout the
day. I’m looking for a similar shot as this
informs the viewer on what camera, lens,
and lighting system I’ll be using that day.
Within the second screenshot, he goes over
what will be happening throughout the day.
I’m looking for content similar to this
because it makes the viewer concentrate
more on the current subject instead of
thinking about what ill be talking about next.
8. Production techniques EP3
In this first screen shot (part of a time-lapse
in the video) it shows what’s happening in
the entire frame. I would like something
similar to this in the form of a time-lapse as
not only does it shorten the video by a
considerable amount, it also shows what is
happening, but the viewer might not learn
anything from this.
In this second screenshot, it shows that
there was a break between the time-lapse,
which is when he goes over his lighting set
up and gives a bit of advice “master one
light first, because you can do a lot with
just one light.” im looking for something as
shown in this video
9. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
– They all give a slice of advice to help you with what
you are hoping to learn.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
– Include advice on how you (the viewer) could improve
on the work you are already creating.
– Keep it simple but complex to keep the viewers
attention with them still learning something new.
11. Survey results - FMP - Q1
Question 1 is about what type of
information would viewers want to
get from my project.
As shown in the screen-shot on the
right, most ppts would want some
information that is slightly more
advanced.
This tells me that they already
know the basics and would want
something better to help them
progress.
Whereas some people already
know the "advanced" so they
would want more to know.
12. Survey results - FMP - Q2
Most of the ppts would want a
video, no longer 5 minute long.
This tells me that they don’t
want a video to be super long as
they could possibly lose interest,
and thus stop watching the
video.
Whereas somebody would want
longer than 15 minutes!
This tells me that they want to
learn as much as possible and is
willing to sit through over 15
minutes of explanation and so
on.
13. Survey results - FMP - Q3
As shown in the graph on the
right, the majority of people
would want both qualitative
and quantitative data within
the video.
This shows to me that (as said
in the previous question) they
would want to learn as much as
possible to help them improve
their skills.
14. Survey results - FMP - Q4
This question shows that they
would prefer the video to be short
but filled as this tends to be the
most efficient way of putting
information across.
In a situation where the viewer is
rushing for some reason, they
might need quick information.
Information is best to be easy to
find throughout the video, such as
using key points possibly with a
bright display to show when the
subject changes.
15. Survey results - FMP - Q5
As shown on this pie chart, most
people would think about sending
the video to a friend or colleague
as 5 people choose between 0-
6.although this doesn’t look very
good, it does give me a lot of hope
that this project could do well.
16. Survey results - FMP - Q6
As shown, there are more female
ppts, than male ppts. Although
this doesn’t show much, I belie ve
that more females than males
would view the video to improve
their creative and/or
technical skills.
17. overview
I will be using this information gathered to help
piece together my video.
In the 1st question, the majority of people chose
slightly more advanced in terms of information
type.
In the 2nd question, it goes over how long they
would prefer the video to go on for, most of the
ppts chose 1-5 mins.
In the 3rd question it shows that almost everyone
would prefer to have both qualitative and
quantitative information.
In the 4th question, people would prefer to have a
short but filled video instead of a long but filled
video
In the 5th question, it goes over how many people
might recommend the video to people outside of
my target audience
And finally in the 6th question, its shown that
most of people answering my survey were female
• Slightly more advanced
• 1-5 minutes long
• Both quantitative and qualitative
information.
• Short but filled
• Some people would share the
video to people outside of my
target audience
Video overview
19. • I wont be doing interviews, as my idea is a
video mainly directed at anybody looking to
improve their skills.
• For me, doing interviews would possibly be a
waste of time as the final products’ target
audience wont be as wide.
