The Cellular Connection – 6 stores in Northeast Georgia
Recruited by the president of this Verizon Premium Reseller to turn around an area that was underperforming
for some time. It was badly understaffed prior to arrival, turnover was high, employee satisfaction and morale
were low, inventory processes were weak, and there was very little accountability or leadership. Immediately
developed and implemented a strategy that quickly established this area as the best in the company.
Built and developed a strong, motivated, and customer-focused team of sales professionals. Recruited,
hired, on-boarded, and trained 4 new store managers and 4 sales associates.
Established significantly higher standards in all areas of store operations including customer service
and visual presentation – earned perfect scores (100%) on mystery shops for 3 straight months.
Increased customer satisfaction scores by a remarkable 19 percentage points – improved from 45% to
64% (target: 60%). Ranked 1st
in the company for 3 consecutive months.
Increased the average units-per-transaction from 2.1 to an astonishing 3.3, a 57% improvement in just
a few months. Easily outperformed the other area (2.9).
Oversaw the construction, setup, and opening of the company’s new flagship and home office store in
Athens – opened on schedule, fully staffed, and met all company expectations.

WG Wireless – 7 stores in Southwest Atlanta
Recruited by the president of this Verizon Premium Reseller to turn around a high-profile region that included
2 flagship stores, the highest volume and largest location in the company (Villa Rica at 3,000 square feet) and a
2. home store that included the president’s office. This region was in decline upon arrival and not meeting goals;
sales were down, staffing levels were insufficient, and morale was poor. Turned it around in record time.
Quickly built a very strong and committed leadership team – recruited, hired, on-boarded, and trained
3 new store managers while also developing and promoting a top sales rep to store manager.
Reversed a 10% decline in sales and drove the region to +11% over LY – a 21-point swing. Achieved a
remarkable 120% of the sales plan in the 3rd
month, followed by 110% in the 4th
and 5th
months.
Achieved significant improvement in key metrics – drove insurance attachment to 40% (highest in the
company); increased the average transaction by 12%; kept shrink below 1% every month.
Created a very successful clientele development strategy that involved tracking purchases by every
customer – this dramatically increased repeat business across the region.
Implemented a reallocation plan that successfully reduced outdated inventory across the region by
40% – cleared out the remaining aged inventory through eBay.

Verizon Wireless – 11 to 13 stores in Georgia and Alabama
Directed an area that went through numerous realignments over the 10 years, eventually managing the largest
geographic area in the entire company from Northeast Georgia down to Southeast Alabama. Oversaw up to 13
franchise stores at a time ($20M in total annual sales) including 2 flagship stores (one directly across the street
from the Verizon corporate office). Received numerous awards for exceptional performance and results.
Worked very closely with franchisees to turn around an area that had been struggling – nearly half the
stores were down in sales, several were understaffed, and 2 were up for sale upon arrival.
Drove the area from 14th
to 1st
overall in the region (18 areas) for sales volume and from 16th

the region on the overall performance scorecard (Jan 2014).
Achieved consistent improvement in all key performance metrics including customer service scores
