2. Front cover
•
Most people seemed to prefer the second one of the
front covers to the rest. The main thing was that the
third was too informal and a bit messy where as the first
one seemed to be TOO formal and didn’t have enough
going on with it. The second one was said to be more
enticing and was clear enough for people to walk by and
notice it whilst also getting a hint towards the story.
Comments were also made that all of them could use a
few more aesthetic bits like more pictures and more
headlines
3. Contents page
•
The majority of people preferred the first mock up to the
rest. The second favorite was the third mock up but It
was said that it wasn’t as neat as the first one. The third
one seemed too repetitive and seemed the most boring.
The third was also too informal for some people's views
of a school magazine whereas people generally liked the
first one's clearness and formality. Also It was said that
the third one had less articles on the page than the rest
which would be undesirable in a school magazine and
people preferred to know about the news than the
upcoming events and preferred the events to be
mentioned later in the magazine.
4. Double page spread
•
With the double page spreads most people preferred to
have less writing and more focus on the subject of the
interview, which made the first and second the main
choice. Although it was said that the third one was
interesting with it's design it lacked the focus on the
subject that the others had with the full pictures
covering the screen. The first mock up was preferred the
most because it seemed more conventional and less
formal but still retained order and was aesthetically
more pleasing to look at for most people.
