• Color
• Appearance
• Odor
• Reaction/pH
• Specific gravity ( The refractometer,
Urinometer or a reagent strip is used to
measure specific gravity)

4. Normal findings of urine
• Colour – Pale Yellow or Amber Colour
• Appearance/ turbidity - Clear
• Reaction – Acidic PH -4.6- 8
• Odor – Aromatic odor, a smells like
ammonia due to presence of volatile acids
