1. 1. ‘P p’ Introducing the sound.
Using posters and flashcards as visual support to help children
recognize the sounds.
2. Action to help children remember the sound.
The children pretend their finger is a candle and try to puff out the
trick candle, saying ‘p, p, p’
3. Song. Using a song as a funny way for children to become
more confident with the sound.
4. Writing. Using worksheets to write capital and small ‘P p’
Firstly, children will use their index finger following the shape of the
letter and later they will use the pencil.
5. Activities to reinforce their learning and help them to identify
the sound: p (which words begin with p). Using high-tech to do the
activity with the whole group and worksheets to work individually.
