Definition
Fusing is one of the most important processes involved in apparel manufacturing which affects the
appearance of the garment. It also provides support and strength to the specific parts of the garments
Purpose
To ensure fusing techniques are in line with buyer standards.
Scope
All the garments parts where required fusing as per styling.

Check if the m/c type
suitable for application
Set the m/c condition
according to the test report
Try & ensure roller pressure
even from side to side
Measure the actual heating
dwell time
Set the temperature in order to

Start initial trail fusing after 30,

BULK CALIBRATION OF FUSING M/C
TEAMPERATURE/GLUE LINE TEMP
We Insert a little piece of fabric between main fabric &interlining
and also add the temperature strip reading face to the fabric
Then we Put the fabric through the fusing press machine according to
the recommended condition (temperature, Weight, time)on the data
sheet.
After Fusing we cut alongside of Temperature strip, turn over the
temperature strip And Look for the Black Square of the highest
reading, THIS IS FUSE LINE TEAMPERATURE.
The Fuse line temperature is the Temperature achieve on the Dots during
the fusing process. Therefore, the temperature strip is used between the
fabric and the interlining for correct measuring.
If there is any interval for any reason then Machine must be calibrated
before every time of start production & result must be record. We use
our designated format to store the data twice a day.

DAILY CALIBRATION SYSTEM OF FUSING M/C
PRESSURE
Take three thin white paper
and three carbon paper
Keep the carbon paper inside the
fold part of white thin paper
After getting the paper we check the evenness of
color spread into the paper
We do it to right, middle, left of the roller to check
the whole roller pressure evenness

PROCEDURE
Inserted a little piece of fabric & interlining and also added the temperature strip reading face to the fabrics. Stitched a loop
in the area where the little piece of fabric is inserted .
Then Slide the spring hook into the loop lay flat on the table and hold down the spring balance with one hand use the other
hand to get grip over the entire width of fabric .
After then have to pull gently with moderate speed for about 100 MM. Should observe and note the average reading on the
spring balance, this is the bond strength.
The result shown here is what we can split. It indicating that the bond strength is higher that the tensile strength of
interlining.
Interlining split is the best possible result with non-woven interlining, if not tensile then, pull strength has to be 5
newton/1.0 kgs for woven and knit interlining pull strength has to be 7.5 newton/1.5 kgs. It may vary according to buyer
requirements.
(Note: The temperature, pressure, timing of fusing machine has to have set before start bulk after wash test & bond of
MOCK sample or according to DATA sheet provide by interlining supplier or on Sample Mock.)
To get after wash effects like lining come off & bubbling, we have to do at least one wash test just after conforming bond
strength quality. Information has been written on tested sample.

Mock up sample should be in the place.
Calibration certificate of must be present with the machine.
Machine servicing records should be in the place.
Dedicated fusing operator with proper training.
SOP should be hanged into the machine area in local language for
better understanding .
