1. What is Image Editing ?
For the uses, cultural impact, and ethical concerns of image editing,
see Photo manipulation. For the process of culling and archiving images,
see Digital asset management.

This is a photo that has been edited as a Bokeh effect, using a Gaussian

Image editing encompasses the processes of altering images, whether they
are digital photographs, traditional photochemical photographs, or illustrations.
Traditional analog image editing is known as photo retouching, using tools such
as an airbrush to modify photographs, or editing illustrations with any
traditional art medium. Graphic software programs, which can be broadly
grouped into vector graphics editors, raster graphics editors, and 3D modelers, are
the primary tools with which a user may manipulate, enhance, and transform
images. Many image editing programs are also used to render or create computer
art from scratch.
3. Adobe Photo shop
Adobe Photoshop Elements is a raster graphics
editor for entry-level photographers, image editors
and hobbyists. It contains most of the features of the
professional version but with fewer and simpler
options. The program allows users to create, edit,
organize and share images. It is a successor of Adobe
Photoshop LE (Limited Edition).
