2. Artificial intelligence (AI, also machine intelligence, MI)
is Intelligence displayed by machines, in contrast with
the natural intelligence (NI) displayed by humans and
other animals. In computer science AI research is
defined as the study of "intelligent agents": any
device that perceives its environment and takes
actions that maximize its chance of success at some
goal. Colloquially, the term "artificial intelligence" is
applied when a machine mimics "cognitive" functions
that humans associate with other human minds,
such as "learning" and "problem solving".
3. High-profile examples of AI include
autonomous vehicles (such as drones and
self-driving cars), medical diagnosis,
creating art (such as poetry), proving
mathematical theorems, playing games
(such as Chess or Go), search engines
(such as Google search), online assistants
(such as Siri), image recognition in
photographs, spam filtering, prediction of
judicial decisions and targeting online
advertisements.
4. Sophia is a humanoid robot
developed by Hong Kong-based
company Hanson Robotics. It has
been designed to respond to
questions, and has been
interviewed around the world. In
October 2017, the robot became
a Saudi Arabian citizen, the first
robot to receive citizenship of any
country
5. Sophia was activated on April 19, 2015.
She was designed to look like Audrey
Hepburn was a British actress and
humanitarian who died at the age of 63
due to Appendiceal cancer. Hepburn’s
classic beauty: porcelain skin, a slender
nose, high cheekbones, an intriguing smile,
and deeply expressive eyes that seem to
change color with the light.
Sophia is known for its human-like
appearance and behavior compared to
previous robotic variants. According to the
manufacturer, David Hanson, Sophia uses
artificial intelligence, visual data processing
and facial recognition.

7. Hanson Robotics are the masterminds behind Sophia, the company
creates amazingly expressive and lifelike robots that build trusted and
engaging relationships with people through conversation. They focus on
building robots that teach, serve, entertain, and will in time come to truly
understand and caring about humans.
The company aims at creating a better future for humanity by infusing
artificial intelligence with kindness and empathy, cultivated through
meaningful interactions between robots and the individuals whose lives
they touch. They envision that their robots will eventually evolve to
become super intelligent genius machines that can help us solve the
most challenging problems we face here in the world.
11. • Sophia üz mimikalarından və əl hərəkətlərindən düzgün istifadə etməyi
bacarır
• Sophia chatbot proqramlaşdırmanın ən ali nümayəndəsidir. (!)
• Sophia insanların üzünü yadda saxlaya bilir
15. Robotun istehsalçı şirkəti olan Hanson Robotics-in baş elmi işçisi Ben
Goertzel (Sophianın beyninin yaradıcı memarı) jurnalistlərin “birgün
robotlar bizə ağalıq edə bilərlərmi” sualına gülümsəyərək
• - “Onlara sevgini öyrətməliyik” cavabını verib
16. Physicist Stephen Hawking, Microsoft founder
Bill Gates, and SpaceX founder Elon Musk have
expressed concerns about the possibility that AI
could evolve to the point that humans could
not control it, with Hawking theorizing that this
could "spell the end of the human race".
17.
18. Musk said:
“I have exposure to the very cutting edge AI, and I think
people should be really concerned about it.”
“I keep sounding the alarm bell, but until people see
robots going down the street killing people, they don’t
know how to react, because it seems so ethereal.”
“And I think people who are naysayers and try to drum up these
doomsday scenarios — I just, I don’t understand it. It’s really
negative and in some ways I actually think it is pretty
irresponsible.”
“If you are arguing again AI. You are arguing against safer
cars… being able to better diagnose people. I just don’t see how
in good continence people can do that.”
-Mark Zuckerberg
