- At evena we’re in the business of using technology to solve problems in healthcare So what’s the problem… As a physician I know first hand that modern 21st century medicine relies on data…. Patient Data, telemetry, Labs, Studies, add to that Personalized Medicine, Genomics, And we have a truly Data intensive science In which everything must be recorded & charted & stored Complex care plans and protocols must be coordinated among a team of mulitiple care givers Meanwhile care givers are often tasked with coordinating with a team of care givers All while standing & walking… with limited computer access and out of date commnuication… I’m the only person I know that still caries a pager And I’m sure most people have experienced The solutions we’ve come up with often remove the caregiver from giving care --
- So what’s the big deal… Well, these problems cause delays & inefficiencies which lead to higher cost and more dissatisfied patients but most importantly bad outcomes which in medicine mean loss of life.
