Dear Judges:
My name is Aubreigh Fuller, for my project I chose to work with a group called Atlanta
dogsquad. I am a very shy person and have a hard time talking in front of people. I feel
this project helped me a lot because it forced me to speak up. As part of my project I
spent a lot of time with a bunch of dogs and just had a blast it was one of the best
experiences I have ever had.
My product was to help the dogs get more fosters and medications. I did this by helping
on adoption days and also creating a bake sale as well as selling calendars. My paper was
on animal abuse and the programs we use to stop it and I feel my project relates because a
lot of our dogs went through abusive homes and it became our job to make them happy in
any way we could.
I hope to one day become a vet. I feel this project helped push me towards that career. I
got to spend a lot of times with the dogs and a lot of our dogs are very elderly. I feel like
me being able to play with them put a spring in their step that made them just that much
happier so they could make another family happy.
Over all I found the project to be stressful, there is just so much that has to go into it. If I
could do it all over again I don’t think I would pick a different project. I would also
strongly urge anyone out there to get involved with this program.
