 Refers to a set-out development plan of an organisation within the confines of
a set time limit;
The YANUDP Corporate Plan was developed, conceived and formulated based
on consultative basis to direct the Organisation towards realising its stated
strategic goals and objectives;
 The corporate plan is a reflection of how each and every member of YANUDP
are going to contribute to the organisation’s predetermined goals;
 The plan is meant to ensure that the organisation takes coordinated action to
address issues identified by stakeholders, hence responding to Government’s
Introduction: What Is A Corporate Plan?
 The Corporate Plan forms the basis of the work plan;
The plan will play a crucial role in directing YANUDP’s development policy and guiding
the allocation of resources and implementation of set objectives.
The Corporate Plan covers a period of three (3) years, 2013-2015;
The Corporate Plan contains the Organisation’s historical development, vision & mission
statement, core values, aims &objectives, predetermined strategic goals, governance
structure, set areas of intervention;
The Corporate Plan provides monitoring and evaluation (M&E) mechanism for effective
institutional accountability and monitoring of progress on implemented activities, against
their intended benefits and impacts.

A Corporate plan comprises of the ff components:
Vision & Mission Statement;
Highlights the mandate & functions of an organisation;
Outline the organisation’s resources and operational
scope;
 States Objectives and predetermined goals;
 Map-out strategies and the iterative workable
solutions in attaining stated set objectives;
What constitute a Corporate Plan
To serve as a guidance roadmap tool;
To set-out an organisation’s broader strategies and
vision within the tentacles of its operating environment
for a specific timeframe;
To evaluate and monitor predetermined goals to
gauge their level of effectiveness and impacts;
Why Corporate Plan
 Develop the mantra of youth development & empowerment,
hence inculcating the virtues of discipline, respect and
participation;
 Promotes responsible leadership, activism & volunteerism;
 Enhance the principles of advocacy through enhanced
participation and involvement of all;
Ensure quality delivery services geared towards educating &
empowering youth on their civic duties and obligations in national

 A work plan looks at what must be done?, when must it be
done?, where will it be done?, how will it be done?, why
must it be done? And who will do it?

Resources, (e) Timelines, (f) KPIs and (g) Responsible

Objectives/goals: specific result that a person or an org. aims to
achieve within a set timeline. Objectives are the goals, aims, or purposes that
organisations wish to achieve over varying periods of time Goals are broader
objectives, that are intangible & unquantifiable.
(b) Strategies: Refers to an action plan aimed at achieving long-term
objectives by using available resources.
(c) Activities: refers to proposed programmes/ projects
(d) Resources: verifiable means, inputs, equipments
(e) Timelines: period/timeframes
(f) KPIs: Measurable variables/ indicators

  • 8.  Refers to a set-out development plan of an organisation within the confines of a set time limit; The YANUDP Corporate Plan was developed, conceived and formulated based on consultative basis to direct the Organisation towards realising its stated strategic goals and objectives;  The corporate plan is a reflection of how each and every member of YANUDP are going to contribute to the organisation’s predetermined goals;  The plan is meant to ensure that the organisation takes coordinated action to address issues identified by stakeholders, hence responding to Government’s Introduction: What Is A Corporate Plan?
  • 9.  The Corporate Plan forms the basis of the work plan; The plan will play a crucial role in directing YANUDP’s development policy and guiding the allocation of resources and implementation of set objectives. The Corporate Plan covers a period of three (3) years, 2013-2015; The Corporate Plan contains the Organisation’s historical development, vision & mission statement, core values, aims &objectives, predetermined strategic goals, governance structure, set areas of intervention; The Corporate Plan provides monitoring and evaluation (M&E) mechanism for effective institutional accountability and monitoring of progress on implemented activities, against their intended benefits and impacts.
