The main purpose of this study was aimed to identify the
root causes for the Mail Processing Machines (MPM) unable
to sort averagely 40,000 pieces of mail per hour with
throughput of 95%.

Objective of the Study
Identify the root causes for the Mail Processing Machines
(MPM) unable to sort averagely 40,000 pieces of mail per
hour with throughput of 95%.
A study has to be carried out with these primary
objectives.
9. PROBLEM STATEMENT
MPM’s OEE performance seem inconsistently and achieve below 85%
The productivity is under performance ~ 32,400 pieces per hour instead of
40,000 per hour
Cause to back lock at MPM Work Center
Increasing workload to the manual work center due to unprocessed mail
from the machines

19. CONCLUSION
In order to make sure that the Mail Processing Machines
(MPM) able to achieve throughput of 95%, there are three
solution that are suggested.
First, provide or conduct a regular on-job-training to the
staff that manning the MPM
Second, implementation of autonomous maintenance for
staff that operating the MPM. Provide a basic troubleshoot
for MPM
