The main purpose of this study was aimed to identify the
root causes for the Mail Processing Machines (MPM) unable
to sort averagely 40,000 pieces of mail per hour with
throughput of 95%.

 MPM’s OEE performance seem inconsistently and achieve below 85%
 The productivity is under performance ~ 32,400 pieces per hour instead of
40,000 per hour
 Cause to back lock at MPM Work Center
 Increasing workload to the manual work center due to unprocessed mail
from the machines

CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
In order to make sure that the Mail Processing Machines
(MPM) able to achieve throughput of 95%, there are three
solution that are suggested.
 First, provide or conduct a regular on-job-training to the
staff that manning the MPM
 Second, implementation of autonomous maintenance for
staff that operating the MPM. Provide a basic troubleshoot
for MPM

Educate customers on proper usage of envelope 2. Regular on the job trainings for machine operators to recognize and identify machine able and non- machine able mails 3. Autonomous maintenance 4. Early preparation when barcode ink is low 2. Setup Time - Technical issues; server down / alarm not working 1. Competent employee scheduled for morning startup operation

CONCLUSION In order to make sure that the Mail Processing Machines (MPM) able to achieve throughput of 95%, there are three solution that are suggested.  First, provide or conduct a regular on-job-training to the staff that manning the MPM  Second, implementation of autonomous maintenance for staff that operating the MPM. Provide a basic troubleshoot for MPM
