1. ACC-New Jersey is one of the five
contracting centers of the U.S. Army
Contracting Command. It is co-located at
Picatinny Arsenal and Joint Base
McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. ACC-NJ
has a broad customer base with both on-
site customers as well as globally remote
locations.
ACC-NJ plans, directs, controls, manages, and
executes the full spectrum of contracting,
acquisition support and business advisory services
in support of major weapons, armaments,
ammunition systems, information technology and
enterprise systems for the Army and other
Department of Defense customers.
In addition, its mission execution supports all
phases of research and development through initial
and follow-on production. ACC-NJ utilizes the full
spectrum of contract types and contract instruments
in support of its customers with an emphasis on cost
and fixed price incentive type contracts. The center
also has unique expertise with executing grants,
cooperative agreements and other transactions for
all stages in the acquisition life cycle.
ACC-NJ’s major customers include the Program
Executive Office for Ammunition, PEO Soldier,
PEO Ground Combat Systems, PEO Special
Operations Forces Warrior, PEO Enterprise
Information Systems, PEO Command, Control and
Communications-Tactical, Army Innovation
Logistics Agency, the Army Cyber Command,
Armaments Research, Development and
Engineering Center and the Army Reserve.
It also services other customers to include Army
Research Laboratory, Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency and the Office of the Secretary of
Defense. ACC-NJ’s flexible organization allows
for easy deployment of personnel and appropriate
skill sets to accommodate customer demand.
In fiscal year 2013, the ACC-NJ contracting center
awarded more than 9,400 contract actions
obligating almost $2 billion and is currently
managing approximately $27 billion in active
contracts.
ACC-NJ’s expertise in source selection has earned
it the distinction by ACC headquarters as one of the
command’s source selection support centers of
excellence. ACC-NJ has established state of the art
source selection facilities at both Picatinny Arsenal
and JB McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to support large-
scale competitive acquisitions and source selection
activities across the enterprise.
ACC-NJ’s 389 associates are highly educated. One
hundred percent of the contracting associates have
bachelor’s degrees, 22 percent have completed
postgraduate degrees, 98 percent are Defense
Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certified
and 30 percent are certified in both contracting and
another field.
