Headquartered at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., the
center has a substantial complement of contracting
professionals and support staff located offsite
around the United States. In total, ACC-RI oversees
more than 600 personnel and contracts in excess of
$80 billion.
ACC-RI provides full-spectrum support of the
acquisition requirements of diverse customers including
the U.S. Army Sustainment Command; the Joint
Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management
Command; Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center;
Program Executive Office-Enterprise Information
Systems; the Joint Theater Support Contracting
Command; the Surface Deployment and Distribution
Command; and the Office of the Program Manager,
Saudi Arabian National Guard.
The major contracting areas at ACC-RI fall under nine
divisions: Ammunition, Chemical Demilitarization,
Installations, Information Technology, Logistics Civil
Augmentation Program, Global Reachback Contracting,
EAGLE and Sustainment Contracting, Business
Operations and Contracting Support, and Contract
Pricing.
ACC-RI provides acquisition support to assorted Foreign
Military Sales customers, police and other criminal
justice customers, and the following major customers:
U.S. Army Central Command; U.S. Forces –
Afghanistan; U.S Army Materiel Command; Department
of State; Program Executive Office-Ammunition;
Department of the Army Headquarters; and Installations
Management Command.
Although ACC-Rock Island is headquartered on Rock
Island Arsenal, there are numerous ACC-RI contracting
officers and staff members located offsite at chemical
demilitarization facilities, including Anniston, Ala.; Blue
Grass, Ky.; Newport, Ind.; Pine Bluff, Ark.; Pueblo,
Colo.; Tooele, Utah; Umatilla, Ore.; Johnston Atoll; and
Aberdeen, Md.
In addition, ACC-RI has contracting oversight
responsibilities at other offsite contracting support
organizations, including Blue Grass Army Depot, Ky.;
Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Ind.; McAlester
Army Ammunition Plant, Okla.; Pine Bluff Arsenal,
Ark.; and Tooele Army Depot, Utah.

Brig. Gen. Ted Harrison, ACC commanding general, visits the contract
closeout warehouse in November 2013 to learn more about the closeout
process from Melanie Johnson, ACC-RI executive director; Joan Wysoske, the
then-branch chief of the contract closeout mission; and Joseph Hatler, ACC-RI
warehouse specialist.
