COL Martin Zybura serves as the Chief of Staff of the Army Contracting Command (ACC) located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. As Chief of Staff, he oversees over 200 staff members and coordinates support between ACC's two subordinate commands and five contracting centers. ACC supports major acquisition programs as a subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command. COL Zybura has over 25 years of experience in the Army, including roles in field artillery, contracting, acquisition logistics, and program management. He has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy and two Master's degrees.

COL Martin Zybura serves as the Chief of Staff of the Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. He is the principal assistant to the commanding general for planning, coordinating, directing, supervising and training of the more than 200 headquarters staff members, and coordinates support and oversight of two one-star subordinate commands and five subordinate contracting centers.
Headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, ACC is a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command. ACC includes two subordinate commands, the Mission and Installation Contracting Command and the Expeditionary Contracting Command, and five major contracting centers that support major acquisition programs. Prior to becoming the ACC Chief of Staff, he served as the Commander, 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
COL Zybura is a native of Garfield, NJ and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army in 1989. He entered the Army Acquisition Corps in 1999 and his acquisition experience consists of contracting, acquisition logistics and technology integration, program management and science and technology development.
He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He received a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington in 1999 and a master’s degree from the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS in 2002. COL Zybura has completed the Field Artillery Basic and Advanced Courses at Fort Sill, OK.

COL Zybura’s military decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (five oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (one oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (four oak leaf clusters), the National Defense Service Medal, the Korea Defense Service Medal, Global War Terror Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Parachutist Badge. He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and is level III certified in Contracting and Program Management and level II certified in Acquisition Logistics.
