4. Introduction :
• In October 2014, Tesla Motors announced its first version of
Autopilot. Model S cars equipped with this system are
capable of lane control with autonomous steering, braking,
and speed limit adjustment based on signal image
recognition.
5. Full Self-Driving Capability :
All new Tesla cars have the hardware needed for full self-
driving in almost all circumstances. The system is designed
to be able to conduct short and long distance trips with no
action required by the person in the driver’s seat.
6. Working :
• All Tesla vehicles have
eight cameras and twelve
ultrasonic sensors which
capture information from
the surroundings and feed
it to a powerful computer
built into the vehicle.
7. Working Functions of Tesla :

cost, but also can capture
more traffic information,
including object category,
object distance, traffic
signs and signals.

8. 2- Advanced Sensor Coverage :
• Ultrasonic sensors send
out sound waves that are
too high for the human
ear to hear, and those
waves then bounce off of
solid objects, notifying
the Tesla of objects in its
way.They provide 360
degrees of visibility.

9. 3- Navigate on Autopilot :
• Navigate on Autopilot
suggests lane changes to
optimize your route, and
makes adjustments so
you don’t get stuck
behind slow cars or
trucks.

• Using advanced cameras,
sensors and computing
power, your Tesla will
navigate tighter and
more complex roads.
11. 5- Smart Summon :
• Smart Summon is
designed to allow you to
move Model Y to your
location (using your
phone's GPS as a target
destination) or to a
location of your choice. Range is 213 feet (65
meters)
12. 6- From Home :
• All you will need to do is
get in and tell your Tesla
where to go. If you don’t
say anything, your Tesla
will look at your calendar
and take you there as the
assumed destination.
13. 7- To your Destination :
• When you arrive at your
destination, simply step
out at the entrance and
your Tesla will enter park
seek mode, automatically
search for a spot and park
itself. A tap on your phone
summons it back to you.
