Tesla's self-driving technology uses cameras and ultrasonic sensors to navigate and steer vehicles autonomously. The system is designed for full self-driving capabilities without action needed by the person in the driver's seat. Key functions include autosteer for navigation on more complex roads, smart summon to move the vehicle a short distance using a phone, and autonomous parking and summoning the car from its parked location. 4. Introduction :
• In October 2014, Tesla Motors announced its first version of
Autopilot. Model S cars equipped with this system are
capable of lane control with autonomous steering, braking,
and speed limit adjustment based on signal image
recognition.

5. Full Self-Driving Capability :
All new Tesla cars have the hardware needed for full self-
driving in almost all circumstances. The system is designed
to be able to conduct short and long distance trips with no
action required by the person in the driver’s seat.
