2. Crowdfunding Projects:

3. All the Pardons is a phone app
created by Alys Myers. She
used Indiegogo to launch her
campaign.

4. This app’s purpose is to
essentially let the user know
when they are being rude in social
settings. Their funding goal was
$5,000 by October 21st but so far
they have only raised $1,134.

5. One flaw of this idea was
its hypocritical nature.
The app was designed to
help people get off
their phones but it
requires you to be on
your
phone to use it.

6. The video going along
with their product was
intended to be funny
but was poorly
written, filmed, and
executed.

7. The main reason this project failed
was because their idea was faulty
and the product had no appeal.

8. The second project I analyzed was the POWERUP DART -
App Controlled Paper Airplane With Tricks on Kickstarter.

The product is a paper airplane that can be
controlled by a smart phone. Their
goal was to raise $25,000 and they have raised over
$1,638,482.

10. I liked this project because the idea was fun and
inventive. It is simple but clever and popular
to a wide audience.

11. The video was successful by keeping
the audience engaged for the whole
time, showing the product’s capabilities,
and being thorough.
