2. Shot 1
In the first side have our
first transition a cut with
shows us the family car
which the main
character , her husband
and child because they
just came from the
woods this scene lasts
for 4 seconds
3. Shot 2
This is an 4 second scene which
pans to an over shoulder shot
where we see Sarah talking to
her daughter this is showing us
everything okay
4. Shot 3/shot4
Here we have 2 shots the
first one is 5 seconds then
the other under 1 second in
the first shot we have a
point of view shot from
Sarah’s daughter then it
cuts to an over shoulder
shot this scene is a nice one
showing Sarah's daughters
happy and this scene is
telling all nothing bad can
actually in other words
happy families the shot
reverse shot tells us that
she's close to her daughter
5. Shot 5
This 7 second shot implies us
that Sarah’s husband is
daydreaming or thinking about
something what's on his mind
or wants to tell her something.
His feelings are showed very
easily though this close up shot
He even has that face of guilt
like his done something wrong
6. Shot 6
This medium close up 4
second shot implies that the
husband is feeling distant from
his daughter and wife we can
effortlessly tell by his facial
expressions because while his
wife's happy with the
daughter he doesn't feel the
same.
7. Shot 7
In this 10 second scene
Sarah's starts questioning
her husband asking why his
being moody this medium
close up is a very good shot
as we will always pay
attention to the two
characters but will always
have eyes on the road too
8. Shot 8
In this 2 second medium
close up we see that
terror has occurred
because the husband has
not paid attention to the
road and this crash has
happened and we all
possibly think this is the
end of the whole family
9. Shot 9
This scene lasts for a
fraction of a second
This shows us that
the pole what goes
into the window
screen is real but at
the same time its
digitally manipulated
too we all know that
the husband is in
this seat so we know
his going to possibly
die
10. Shot 10
This scene lasts for a
fraction of a second
and we know that the
husbands going to die
because the poles
gone straight into him
we can tell that the
poles are now CGI
(computer generated
image)because we can
see the change in the
color of the pipe and
we can see the other
pipe heading for his
daughter
11. Shot 11
Here is a terrible scene what I
find quite rushed because the
husband we know who died
but he don’t have blonde hair
and also the girl who doesn't
have blonde hair either but
then in the last frame no pole
was headed in Sarah's
direction even though this
scene lasted for a fraction of a
second the close up shot
shows the gory side and the
horror what has happened
and tells the viewer they are
all could be dead
12. Shot 12
In this scene the clip
becomes a more slow
editing pace because we
now know what has
happened in this fatal
car accident because
this crane shot lasts for
20 seconds it adds an
more sad effect to the
viewer because as it has
a transition to a black
screen we know that’s
the end of the family
because In the fast pace
scene its all close ups
and the last one allows
us to sum up what has
happened
13. CGI(Computer generated image)
(CGI) is mostly used in scenes where the movie cant do an certain thing to
display something like someone getting stabbed but however it played a big
part in this scene because the director couldn't make real pipes fly into the
actors body but that’s where (CGI) comes in handy we can tell its (CGI)
because the color of the rods has a lighter color and another point is that
before that scene it only shows one pipe entering the car but suddenly it
shows that the pipes have just expanded
Real pipe
(CGI)Computer
generated image
14. Editing/summary
Editing is vital because in the first scene its shows us the
secureness of the family and has that slow pace but
then the the last scene its still slow telling us everything
okay even though everyones dead but however editing
comes in different forms because the editor can just
change up the pace of the event to build a great deal of
suspense and can cover up the main problem in that
scene for example in on part their was blood on the
back of the husbands seat but no pole went though his
chest but by the fast pace it took that mistake away by
fast close ups
The effect of editing is that you can speed it up and slow
it down and if the director knows that scene has an
mistake he can speed up the process of that scene so
we can really spot the mistake made or even can display
someone's mood by making the pace slow
