2. Celador’s history
Celador started as an independent movie company back in
1983. They have released many movies and TV programs
throughout there career one of there most known TV show
is “who wants to be a millionaire and have made quite a few
movies throughout there career. They are owned by Celador
who own a few companies as well as Celador films. They
also own over ten radio shows through out the country.

4. Operating Model
Celador films is not a large company and makes films on a project
to project system they contract with freelance staff from directors
to actors and lawyers to make sure all of their current projects get
made. One way that they made money for their movie the descent
was they sold the movies rights to pathe and used that money for
the movies funding. They can get their money through things like
capitalization, this can be stuff like bank loans, an investor or their
own personal finance. Celador is a small movie company so
unlike big companies that make lots of movies a year they do
movies on a project to project basis. Celador has sold the
distribution rights of their films and from that have used their
money from that and used the money to make the movie.
5. Competitors
Celador has made eight films in its career and have not had much luck
becoming a bigger company they have a lot of competitors to go up against
they have warner brothers who are a big company making movies for kids up
to adults and has multiple genres who have made fourteen movies this year
alone as well as their television shows. An disadvantage to celador to other
film companies is their budgets as they do not have big budgets like sony and
warner bros as they don’t have a lot of income monthly like these companies.
They are also against Sony and their movies they make films for every age
and of multiple genres they have been more successful with films as this year
alone they released the amazing Spiderman 2 which is the highest grossing
marvel movie of all time to now. Even though Celador is a small company
they still have some big competitors such as the world famous Sony Pictures
Entertainment. Sony release big budget films such as the smurfs and the
amazing Spiderman 2. These films get cost up to over 100 million where as
Celador budgets are significantly lower unless working with other companies.
6. Celador comparison
Compared to its competitors Celador has done very well for
themselves but are not a big world wide company like universal or
sony but this is mainly because they make British movies such as
the descent and dog dog soldiers so naturally their biggest sellers
are UK buyers. They only make big movies when they work with
other big companies so as successful as they are they are still a
small company. They have been doing very well as in ten years
they have made seven films and made a lot of money of it unlike
things like sony with the supplies and budget to make it in two
years taking this into account celador has done well for
