2. Pacing
The pacing in this scene is very slow, it takes about 4 seconds to switch scenes. In the
scene we see a car driving down the road. The people that are inside the car is Paul,
Sarah and Jessica, we see this the next scene when the camera switches into the car.
3. Pacing
In this scene, we see Sarah and Jessica talking about something while Paul is focusing
on driving. In the scene we see that Sarah and Jessica are very connected as both of
them take up each side of the camera. This shot goes on for 3seconds because it
wants to switch shots to show what Paul is doing. This shot also tells us that there is a
bond between the both of them.
4. Pacing
In this shot we see that Sarah is focusing talking to Jessica rather than talking to
Paul. This shot also shows us that Paul is disconnected from the family because
he doesn’t want to get involved in the conversation. This shot goes for around 3
seconds to show that Sarah and Jessica are having a conversation.
5. Pacing
In this shot we see that Paul doesn’t have a bond with Jessica or Sarah. It shows us
that he doesn’t want to be with them anymore. Paul is married to Sarah and his
daughter is Jessica. This scene also shows us that he has done something bad that he
might be regretting. Another thing about this scene it shows us the shot for about 6
seconds which makes the audience think on why he is so disconnected from his
family.
6. Pacing
In this scene, we see that Paul is disconnected from Sarah and Jessica while they are
talking. After this shot for about 1 second we see that Sarah is looking straight and
talking to Paul. We see the whole family bonding while Paul looks nervous for some
reason. The shot goes on with Paul and Sarah talking for at least 5 seconds to show
the audience that Sarah is trying to find out what's wrong with him. Then it cuts to
another scene.
7. Pacing
In this scene, we see Jessica’s point of view of both of her parents speaking while Paul
isn’t looking at the road. This shows the audience that you shouldn’t not focus on the
road while driving a car. Another thing about this scene, we see that Sarah is trying to
find out what’s wrong with Paul. This shot goes on for about 5 seconds which makes it
a slow shot because it makes the audience focus on the conversation.
8. The Fast Pace shots
In the second part of the video, it turns into fast pace shots but it
will give us the same amount of information as the slow ones. If
the second part of the video would have been slow paced, we
would of seen the mistakes in the video, for example if you
watch the fast paced scenes frame by frame you would have
seen that Paul’s hair isn’t the same as it was in the slow paced
scenes. The fast paced scene goes on for around 2 seconds but
you see that loads of things has happened. It switched very fast
between Sarah and Paul speaking into the copper bars coming
through the window.
9. Transitions
The transitions throughout the scene shows us
that time has passed and that they are at the
hospital. At the end of the scene we see it fading
out into black, which tells us that the scene is
ending and it’s going to come back later on in
time.
10. CGI – Computer Generated Images
• CGI means Computer Generated Images, this is
when some images are generated on computers
to go into films. In this picture we see that blood
has been generated in by the editor to make sure
the audience understands that Jessica has died.
Films are not allowed to show deaths of children.
