I would like to take a moment to thank you for accepting my application at this time. I
am grateful for the opportunity to present myselfto your company and know that I can
become a great asset for you. As you can see from my resume, I am a well-rounded
individual not only with an educational background, but also with life experiences in many
phases of both the private sector as well as in non-profit organizations.
I would like to focus upon my career beginning with my education, which began at
Youngstown State University, and led to me achieving my Bachelor of Science Degree in
both Biology and Chemistry in 1990. I furthered my Education at The Ohio State University
attaining my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1994. I then pursued a General Practice
Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio from 1994-1996.
Following my education, I was in private practice for 15 years during which time I oversaw
all aspects of my private business. This included hiring and management ofemployees,
establishing protocol for office procedures, all financial aspects of the practice and patient
care. During this time period, I also served as the Dental Director of both The Trumbull
County Jail as well as the Dental Director for Corrections Corporation of America in
Youngstown, Ohio.
After retiring from Dentistry, I became involved in Christian non-profit organizations
including The Warren Family Mission in Warren, Ohio and Western Michigan Teen
Challenge in Muskegon, Michigan. During my employment at both facilities, I worked
extensively with both the public and private sectors bringing awareness and securing funds
for these ministries. This involved establishing personal relationships with churches,
business organizations and the public via personal visits as well as utilizing media in the
form of TV, radio and newsprint.
Because of my extensive history in business, public relations and finances, I feel I would
become a great asset to your company. I am a goal driven and goal-oriented individual who
leads by example and takes to completion any task which is assigned to me. Given the
opportunity, I would become not only an example to others around me, but I will strive to
become a leader in all that I do.
