Experience
Behavioral Health Therapist
I provide behavioral health services to an ethnically, culturally, socio-economically diverse and underserved
population. While providing mental health services to individuals, couples, and groups; I focus intensively on
opportunities to integrate care with the patient’s medical providers. Because of this; I am a point person for
many of our physicians when they are looking for consultation, collaboration, and integration. I specialize in
treating patients with SPMI and MI/CD issues and pioneered group services for MI/CD patients at our clinic. As a
part of my dual-diagnosis work I serve as the therapist for our clinic’s Suboxone program. I believe that because
of my long years of experience and diagnostic skills that I do an excellent job at identifying physical health, Axis
II, and addiction issues that can co-occur and complicate the treatment of Axis I mental health problems. I am
proficient in the use of an electronic medical record and have contributed to the development of its templates. I
am skilled in the use of EMDR, DBT, and Clinical Hypnosis in addition to traditional therapy approaches.
