9. LEAF SURFACES
Glabrous: Without hairs of any kind.
Glaucous: Covered with a whitish powder or waxy coating.
Pubescent: With a hairy surface:-stinging/glandular etc.
15. Leaf Arrangements on stem:
• Alternate/Spiral: One leaf at each node, alternately arranged on axis.
• Opposite: (a) Superposed- leaves in pairs at node, arranged exactly one
above the other.
• Opposite:(b) Decussate- Leaf pairs at right angles to each other.
• Whorled: Three or more leaves at each node forming cluster around
the axis.
