Project : Roll in/out 2 engines for Navigat-MaxPower at PLTMG Teluk
Lembu, Pekanbaru, Riau
Time : 9 – 20 November 2015
1. DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
The main activity for this work is to replace 2 units of engine at PLTMG Teluk Lembu also to transport
the replacement engines from Belawan, North Sumatera and transport the old units to PLC (Pekanbaru
Logistics Center) Rumbai. The work includes the activity of loading/unloading roll out and roll in 2 sets
of engines from enclosure / Power House.
2. TIME IMPLEMENTATION PLAN (Start Date and End) AND THE HOUR START AND FINISH EVERY DAY
Initial Project Time Frame:
The work time will be:
a. Start : 08.00 WIB
b. Finish : 17.30 WIB
c. Over-time : 22.00 WIB
The over-time schedule planned be conducted only when it is absolutely necessary and in accordance to HSE
regulation and standard. In any case, we were focused on the main schedule.

4. WORKING METHOD
a. Pre-Work Safety Briefing
To ensure that every workers on the field knows what to do and how to do it safely, every day
we conducted pre-work safety briefing. This briefing include socialization of JSA and Safety
evaluation from yesterday’s work.

3. b. Assembling heavy equipment (50 Ton Crawler Crane)
For this project we use 50-Ton Crawler Crane, as part of safety measure and to avoid damage to
concrete road we put wooden block as rail for the Crane’s track

4. c. Clearing the working environment
As per our first survey to Teluk Lembu, we have to move some of Navigat’s container office to
make space for rolling work. As rolling work need a lot of space, not only to secure the engines move
but also to give a lot of space for workers to work or to evacuate in case of emergency.

5. d. Jacking and Rolling Old Engine out

e. Unload the New Engine and Load the Old Engine to Truck
To make sure that the engines were lifted properly according to Navigat’s procedure, we use
adjustable spreader bar so that the weight distributed properly when conducting the lifting.
