· Teaching approach: The approach I´m using for this lesson can be based on
the Total physical response as the students gesture and mime in order to
understand and be able to produce the language.
· Integration of skills: The skills the students will develop in this class are
speaking and listening. Also there is development of Cognitive skills as the
students will have to use them to complete the activity proposed.
· Materials and resources: Images, students´ book and goodbye song.
· Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: In this particular class the only
use of ICT is the goodbye song.
·
· Seating arrangement: Students have been arranged in two big tables (in a
square shape) and chairs with their names. So far I haven’t felt the need to
re-arrange this feature.
· Assessment: In this class, students will revise and recycle previous content
to make sure that learning took place. To achieve this, a few more items in
the vocabulary had been added for students to use them along with the
vocabulary from last class.
Routine ‘5
3. I enter the class and greet the students: Hello how are you? We all hold hands and sit in a
circle and sing the hello song. Hello, Hello how are you? How are you today? I am fine, I am
Great! I'm very well today! This is Agus, This is Shanti (and we continue to name each
student’s name).
Lead-in or Warm-up’5
How is the weather today? Is it hot? or is it cold? ( I gesture cold and hot) Very good!
And is this Hot? ( I show them a picture of fire) or is it cold? Good it’s hot! and is this cold or
hot? (I show them a picture of ice) Both pictures had been used in the previous lesson.
Transition 4’
I hold up the picture of fire from their book point at it and say: Is this hot? (yes) then I point at
the photo of ice and ask Is this cold? (yes)
Now I show them the picture of fire again: What is this? ( I gesture without saying for the
students to say HOT)
Then I show them the snowy picture: What is this? I will shiver for the students to say Cold!
I encourage students to gesture cold and hot pretending to be cold/hot
Presentation 5’:
Now let’s do a sticker activity! (I help students open their books on page 44.
Look at this image: Is it cold or hot ? ( I point at the fire image)
Then I point at the image of snow. Is it cold or hot? (I point at the image)
4. Development 10’:
1) Let’s take a look at our stickers! I take the ice cube sticker and say: this is cold too! and I
place it on the cold background.
Look at the chocolate, that’s hot! (and I place it on the hot background). Now let’s try doing it
yourself!
For this activity I will monitor and move around the room helping the students. As the activity
finish we will all review the remaining items.
Closure 2’:
Goodbye song.
Now is time to say goodbye, say goodbye, say good bye! Good bye everyone!

I´m afraid you´llrun out of activities. Students willbe just answering your questions and
placing the stickers in the correctplace (I´d have liked to see where they are meant to do so,
by the way).
Youmay include a song or any other game-like activity.Youshould also recyclecontents
from previous lessons (clothes, forinstance).
