The teacher, Valeria, taught a lively third period class of 12 boys and 12 girls. She engaged the students through questions about a text they had read, practicing new vocabulary and grammar. Students completed worksheets with different activities and asked Valeria for help, which she provided in a positive manner. The class played a language game where some students came to the front to answer questions, and the period ended with the teacher and students lining up by the door for break. The observer realized they will face new challenges as a teacher but must work hard, be flexible in their lessons, and encourage students' enthusiasm for learning.

The class was formed by a group of 12 boys and 12 girls. The teacher of this course was
called Valeria, and she was very enthusiastic every moment, showing interest to each
student. I could observe that the teacher and students had a nice affective bond. When I
was observing the beginning of the class, I was surprised because I saw all the children
participating and do every task. They were paying attention because they wanted to do the
task. In each class, the teacher Valeria says: hello children how are you? After that, they
started the class.
Valeria asked questions about a written text that they had worked the last class. In
general, children had the fifteen pages photocopied from a book that they used in class.
Then the teacher practiced with students the new words and new structure in simple
present. The teacher gave the instructions to do the task and explain how to complete the
sentences that they have to complete from the text. She gave them a sheet of paper with
different activities that they have to complete in the class. She helped them to do the task.
Students asked her for help all the time. She was very sweet and happy all the time. She
had a positive attitude when children felt frustrated because they did not know how to do a
task. In general students were happy and enthusiastic to do the task .The class was very
active and dynamic all the time. It was an interesting lesson.
After that, the teacher Valeria told them that they were going to play a game. Some of
them did not want to go to the front of the class to play a game. One girl and one boy went
to the front of the class to play the game. All the class participated in answering the
questions of the game. Some children were happy because they were the winner of the
game. And when time was up, the teacher and students stood up and went near the door
in order to go out for the break.
In conclusion, I think that I as a teacher I have to be able to be flexible during each class
and be able to adapt the topics according to the group. My great responsibility is to have to
encourage students to work with enthusiasm in order to continue learning without
difficulties. I want to stimulate and help them to go on working and provide them all the
tools to do the tasks successfully. And I also have to help them when they ask for help
because they are very demanding and they want answers all the time. They ask for help in
each moment of the class. I realize I will experience a whole new challenge in this period. I
think that I have to work very hard to reach my expectations.
