To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Amy Kaskowitz. Amy worked as our Outreach Specialist for one
year in the Central Office of Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International, a global nonprofit leader in child protection,
positive communication, and personal safety skills for all ages and abilities. Our main focus is empowering individuals –
from all ages and backgrounds - to have and project confidence and learn how to be safer from abuse, violence, and
bullying, through public and private programs, as well as resources, such as articles, books, and e-newsletters.
Amy was not only a hard worker, but showed a true dedication and desire to promote Kidpower’s cause, and help
Kidpower skills reach many of the area’s most vulnerable populations.
During her time with us, Amy grew in her skills in providing workshop coordination, grant support, donor
acknowledgements, and various other coordination, office, and research projects.
As Outreach Specialist, Amy reached out to various groups who could benefit from Kidpower services. She was able to
coordinate every aspect of planning private workshops – often many at once. One accomplishment that I would especially
like to note was her commitment and assistance with planning and coordinating Kidpower’s annual International
Instructor Training – which teaches others from all over the world, how to be a Kidpower instructor. For this large event,
she wrote and sent out donation requests to many local vendors for in-kind donations; was the main contact with the hotel
in arranging room-blocks and guest stays; and provided overall support to the event coordination and planning.
Amy demonstrated a great deal of commitment and was ready to help wherever she was needed. In addition to outreach
and workshop/event coordinating, she worked largely on grant support, as well as donor acknowledgements. She was the
primary contact person responsible for outreach, coordination, and assisting in preparing, editing, and submitting grant
applications for nearly all Whole Foods stores in California. She also represented Kidpower at two important community
events.
Amy is reliable and deeply committed to doing an excellent job. She is very goal-oriented as well as a team player. She
cares a great deal about positive relationships and worked well with people from very diverse backgrounds.
Finally, when personal reasons made it necessary for Amy to leave our organization, she did her best to give plenty of
notice and manage the transition as well as possible. We have enjoyed having her here and are sorry to see her go.
In closing, let me say I have no hesitation in recommending Amy Kaskowitz for a position that uses her skills in events
planning, customer service, and grant support.
Very truly yours,
Irene van der Zande
