MTC Miami Internship
Jessica J. McCormick
Senior Internship Experience Presentation
SEE4099
Company Overview
• My overall experience as an intern at MTC has been a great.
- I had to find alternative routes to solve problems.
- my communication is more clear.
- I feel more well-rounded as a professional.
• Working with my supervisor was definitely a learning
experience.
• Sometimes, she was very busy & I was responsible of
taking the initiative to help those around the theater
• Whenever I felt any type of miscommunication, I did my
very best of letting her know my issues and concerns by
pulling her to the side and communicating
• I always let her know of any times I was unable to make
it to the theater on time, etc.
• My interaction with the employees were very neutral. We
always were friendly with each other. I worked with them
closely with specific projects and research.
• My major accomplishment was being able to help with the
execution of the production “Alice’s Adventures in
Wonderland.”
• I seen the production unfold and helped a great deal
with the ushering of the students and box office sales.
Personal Goals
Prior to starting my internship this Fall, I set some
goals for myself, as followed:
 Gain hands-on experience with the production –
experiencing the pre-production of “Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland”, find out how box office operates, see
more behind the scenes work
 Become more skilled in my work ethic – utilize my
research and development skills, communicate and
share ideas with my colleagues on relevant projects
 Learn the ins-and-outs about the entertainment
industry – apply what I’ve already learned in my
coursework and see the differences, see how the
company operates before and during the production,
familiarize myself with the marketing campaign for the
production and any events
