1. 1 What have you enjoyed the most from the course, so far?
2 I really enjoy your blog that you have put together. I find your website to be very beneficial and
useful to my learning. The flashcards that you have posted, I find very helpful for studying. I love
that you put your slides up that way I can follow along with the lecture not having to write every
single thing down not only on the slide but side detail that you explain I get to write down as
well.
3 So far, I feel that the class is enjoyable to go to. It's up beat and not too hard to stay focused.
4 I enjoy a lot of the real world examples from the presentations; they help me to better
understand the material. I also appreciate the fact the presentations are available to print.
5 I enjoy that we don't stay on one topic for too long so the material can keep my attention.
6 That you try and make science funny, such as the pics on the study guide. As well when you
tell us how you memorize things.
7 So far in the course I have enjoyed your enthusiasm and knowledge in regards to teaching
the subject.
8 You are a remarkable Teacher, and a exciting one you are full so much energy. me myself is a
slow learner but in time I will pick up on being a skillful social worker someday with the help I get
from your teaching. I hope to past your class.
9 I have enjoyed how enthusiastic you are about the course the most.
10 I am resubmitting because I accidentally hit the enter key and now look incomplete. I wonder if
there is a way you can turn off the "enter" to submit option considering it had me submit halfway
through. Apologies for submitting twice.
I have enjoyed most how enthusiastic you are about the course.
11 When I began my college journey some years ago, the use of technology was somewhat
prevalent, but not nearly as commonplace as it is now. That being said, Dr. Hollingsworth does
an excellent job of keeping students interested via technology, especially the
sevenminutescientist.com website.
12 Love the detailed lecture power points.
13 I enjoy the material we have covered and find it fun and informative when you provide
examples as to what we are covering.
14 The course overall has been interesting. I have to say that the most intriguing content so far
has been the termite lab.
15 I really like that you give us access to class notes outside of your lecture, I think that I better
absorb the information you are presenting to us if I can focus on what you are saying and then
create notes or read through your power points again later.
16 I've enjoyed the fact that I'm able to locate much of the course material on the same website.
Makes it easy to study. Thank you.
17 learning how science really works in the world
18 everything i like biology, it is my favorite flavor of science
19 I enjoy you personally as a teacher, I have struggled with science in high school. The
powerpoints, and posting lectures on class help me go over the information after class in case
there were sections that I did not understand.
20 The classes
21 The lab
22 Yes, it is better than I expected it to be.
23 Biology isn't my favorite subject; however, I like and enjoy learning about how living things do
the things they do.
24 It is not too hard! it actually is interesting which i did not expect.
2. 25 I enjoy your loud voice compared to most of my instructors. Everyone else tends to mumble
and they do not ask us if we have any questions. Also you communicate with us very well
outside of the classroom.
26 I really enjoyed learning about the cellular make-up of life and how different lipids affect the
body.
27
28
28 I enjoy how all the lectures are recorded so we can go back and review them.
30 The colorful and informative slides. Most college classes use plain, unattractive slide
backgrounds when using PowerPoint. So I really appreciate the creative pictures and colors to
keep my attention!
31 Your simplistic explanation of complex topics
32 I've enjoyed relearning the parts of the atom.
33 I enjoy how you give your lectures; the slides and diagrams really help me remember some of
the information I learned in high school.
34 Power points are interesting, easy. and have nice backgrounds!
35 I have enjoyed the lectures.
36 To be honest it is hard to enjoy a class I don't have. must interest in. It's not that the class is
unenjoyable, but more of a tolerable requirement. I will say you do teach the course very well
and I enjoy the website and the way you present the material. This class has potential to
change my view on science to more interest.
37 I think the material is very interesting, I am experience a whole new class environment and I
think class will get more enjoyable as I catch with the rhythm of the class
38 I have enjoyed learning about all living things, other than humans and animals. I've enjoyed the
basic structure of biology so far.
39 I enjoyed the power point presentations and the video lectures to rewrite my notes.
40 Besides the cute outfits and shoes worn by the professor (smile), I'm enjoying re-learning
things learned over 30+ years ago.
41 I have just added this course, so I have yet to attend a lecture or lab, but I am looking forward to
both of these tonight!
42 I have enjoyed the challenge of this class so far. It is definitely my hardest class, and while it is
definitely doable, I will just have to study hard. I think it will help me become a better studier
and which will definitely help me after I have completed this class.
43 What I enjoyed in the course so far is learning a scientists thought process and what they do. I
always thought they had to follow logic, but the lecture taught me that you have to have think
outside the box a little in order to make discoveries.
44 So far I have enjoyed getting a better understanding of Biology. I have always been interested
in biology and science.
45 My favorite part of this course was when we discussed animals on the second day of lecture. I
liked this because i found it interesting and the experiment explaining the rats behavior when
the food was put on a short delay before it was dispensed.
46 The lectures actually. I find them very easy to follow and informative, if a bit rushed at times.
47 So far, I have enjoyed looking at the presentations in class. They have pictures and a nice
background to help keep my attention longer.
48 I enjoy seeing a professor that uses technology while also using the book for the course. Most
times you find some professors use one over the other but I like seeing the different recources
that are made available because of the technology that is incorporated.
49 I have enjoyed the lectures but also all the supplemental material you post at
sevenminutescientist. Science/Biology does not come easy to me and I am not always
comfortable raising my hand in a lecture setting. The supplemental material helps clear up
my questions. I also like how you narrow down all the content in the book to those items we
need to focus on. I would have felt overwhelmed without your assistance.
3. 50 So far, I have enjoyed the pace and structure of the course. The fact that the material is
readily available in multiple formats is very helpful when preparing for an upcoming exam, or
just referring to when I need a refresh.
