The Roles:
- For first 3 month’s I received departmental training and got exposure to Sales, Projects, SCM,
Engineering and Service department.
- In Projects, I kept track on Project activities, in which I needed to look for engineering design
and their completion within time. Material procurement as per BOQ and on time delivery.
Coordination with all sales, engineering, SCM, manufacturing and finance for all project related
activities. Collection of payment after successful completion of project.
- When working with central team I needed to review all projects that are currently open in the
system with Operations Manager. I also used to prepare variance sheet for project which needs
cost revision and closing jobs after successful completion and hand over to client.
Notable Contributions:
In Project Department:
- Changes in Base frame of package: After visiting one of the sites we found that the package we
are supplying will require more space than available. For that engineers suggested so many
changes which were good but it would have taken time and cost. After observation I suggested to
make changes in base frame only and reduce its size which was better option and less costly.
- Coordination for short supplied material: In one of the project, it was found that the material
was short supplied while sending package. And our commissioning engineer was unable to
perform the commissioning activity. In such case, I listed all the material which were short
supplied and arranged them w. r. to their importance. Even though materials were ordered, it was
taking time to reach from vendor to company warehouse and then on site. In such cases, I
suggested SCM to supply important and urgent material from vendor to site using virtual
warehouse category.
In Central team:
- Closure of projects: While reviewing projects from all over India I found that there were many
projects which open in the system and they were taking unnecessary time of whole team as we
needed to review all projects once in a quarter. Pending points of all such projects were closed
and further the projects were closed from the system.

PROJECT
Project Title: Modification in Lathe and Drilling Machine.
Project Area: Design and Production.
Description: In this project we designed and manufactured two different Fixtures for
lathe and drilling machine. With the help of these fixtures we reduced
time required for centering of shaft on drilling machine and controlling
length of shaft on lathe machine within tolerance limit.
Project Title: Design, Manufacturing and Calibration of Automobile Lighting Standard
Measuring Instrument.
Project Area: Automobile, Instrumentation, Design, Production.
Description: In this project we are developing the instrument which is used to
measure the automobile lighting standard in ARIA (Automotive
Research Association of India). This instrument has capability of
measuring light standard for 2-wheer to multi axle vehicle.
PAPER PRESENTATION
Paper Name: Energy modeling of compressor using BEE codes
Description: A simulation model for a compressor unit is developed which is based on
BEE codes using MATLAB GUI. Developed GUI has capability of
comparing experimental data with standard.
