- Same font as the masthead, creates brand awareness
if people see the same font a lot.
- Capital letters, contrasting colours to the background
making the title easy to read
- Placed in big font at the top of the magazine pages
Common conventions of the navigation bar
- All navigation bars are placed at the top of the
website pages
- Basic colours, in order to easily match with
images etc. on the page
- Nav bar helps reader to easily navigate around
the website and easily find what they’re looking
for by clicking on the topic that interests them.
- Titles are short and easy to read
- Popular titles are food, music, homes, health,
lifestyle, entertainment
7. Common conventions of the articles
- Articles are advertised with images and a
short sentence to intrigue the reader and
make them want to read on, Enigmas –
Barthes
- Images seem quite heavily edited, to catch
the readers eye
- These features link the website to the hard
copy of the magazine as they are the same
articles, in order to appeal to people who
prefer digital copies – this is a convention I
will be using in my magazine
