Obstacles
● Retaining Donors
○ Seminars and workshops could be implemented to promote awareness about the
reality of the issue and our mission to improve it
○ Work will be published and shared quarterly with each NGO involved
● Community Support
○ Promoting our organization through
■ Local radio stations
■ School newspapers
■ Public bulletins boards
■ Social media page
○ Thanking volunteers and considering the efforts of both the direct volunteers and
affiliates
Obstacles
● Non-profit Organizations
○ It may be rough to obtain support from bigger organizations
■ Asked for support from two organizations
■ Prepared for conversion with additional organizations
● Sensitivity
○ Many undocumented immigrants could be potentially offended by being given
“hand-outs” or by their situation being identified as “inferior”
■ No immigrants will be forced to receive legal or health assistance
■ Bilingual volunteers will be assigned to each food truck to ensure no
misunderstandings
Taking the Project Home
❖ The action plan will be implemented across rural and urban areas
across the United States in partnership with the previously
mentioned established NGOs.
❖ Social media will be used to promote the project
➢ increase awareness in order to encourage undocumented immigrants
to access the services we aim to provide
❖ Food banks will be the first place to start with the project
➢ Community leaders or workers in the food bank will be contacted
■ Organized with in order to begin the first steps of the project
❖ Demographic research will be done by those involved in the
creation of the project to gauge the degree needed
Use of Social Media
❖ Make use of instagram to promote
‘Documented Hunger’ and engage youth
❖ Social media helps bring awareness to
people worldwide.
❖ Instagram offers businesses and
organization huge potential audience.
❖ It’s the perfect opportunity to engage with
the community around us.
“Food is the ingredient that binds us together”
Thanks!
