2. Fall of Singapore The fall of Singapore to the Japanese Army on February 15th 1942 is considered one of the greatest defeats in the history of the British Army and Britain’s worst defeat in World War II. The Japanese insisted Lieutenant-General Percival march under a white flag to the Old Fort Motor Factory in Bukit Timah to negotiate the surrender.
3. SYONAN - TO Singapore suffered the syonan for 3 years & 8 months. The Japanese renamed S’pore SYONAN-TO (Light of the South Island).The people in Singapore are to learn Japanese and those who are against them were strictly punished. After the occupation, where the Japanese surrender, (Which 2 bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki .) Singapore found its Independence on that day.
5. The word Chandu is Opium. It tells the tale of the battle of Pasir Panjang, 14th February 1942 when 1,400 brave soldiers from the Malay Regiment chose to fight to their death against 13,000 Japanese soldiers.
6. THE HEROES Lieutenant Adnan Bin Saidi is one of the Hero in World War II, he was in the Malay regiment and was proud of his uniform and he refuses to surrender and urged his men to fight until the end. The battle was lost, Adnan was tied to a cherry tree and bayoneted to death.

8. The Japanese use bicycles to travel down Malayan Peninsula. The bicycles each carries the soldier’s personal equipment and food rations. They were able to move faster than expected compared to the withdrawing Allied Forces.
