Things to remember before Test Start
 Check your microphone
 Check your pen/ marker and highlighter
 Keep yourself comfortable, relax and cool

 Hello I am Saroj Subedi, the PTE tutor at Alyon Education Consultancy. I am
attending this PTE Test to get the Tutor Qualification Certificate. I helped
more than 1000 students with their PTE tutoring till date. As soon as I heard
the changes in PTE Test Pattern effective from 16th Nov, 2021 I booked my PTE
exam date and I am attending this Test today.

Read Aloud
 Texts are shown on your screen Get prepared in 40 seconds.
 After 40 seconds a beep sound will start, your microphone will be opened and
start recording you just have to read the texts loud enough.
 Similar 6-7 tasks will be given.
 These tasks will contribute in Speaking and Reading (Important task)
 Basically assessed on three parameters

Repeat Sentence
 A sentence of 9-16 words is played.
 After less than a second , your recording will start and you will have to repeat
the pre-played sentence exactly as you hear it.
 10-12 such tasks are given.
 Contribute in listening and Speaking. Important Task
 Basically assessed on three parameters

Things to remind in PTE
Repeat Sentence
 Fluency means going in a smooth flow, not too fast: Avoid hesitations and self
corrections.
 Pronunciation means speaking clearly: not your accent.
 Content – Do not skip words, content is important.
1. 100 % content will give 3 out of 3 points
2. 50 % content will give 2 out of 3 points
3. less than 50 % content will only give 1 out of 3 points
 Do not stop
 Initial preparation and understanding the playback is important. You have to
make strategies to memorize the playback.
PTE Speaking - Task 2
Describe Image
 You will have an image (line, pie chart, map, etc) on the screen.
 You will have 25 seconds to prepare and 40 seconds to speak.
 3-4 such tasks are given after 16th of Nov 2021.
 Contribute only in Speaking.
 Assessed on three parameters.

Things to take care of in PTE
Describe Image
 Fluency- smooth flow, not too fast nor slow
 Avoid hesitation and self correction
 Content- include the key words shown in the image
 Donot stop speak and describe the image in between 20-30 seconds
 Use the template. Indeed it works.
 You can develop your own template for different images.
 Focus on the recording timeline as you need to conclude the image in the last
sentences.
 At least speak something if you feel the figure is confusing.
Template for Describe Image
 The given image gives information about (title). It is a very beautiful image
and I have to speak for 40 seconds about this image. There are different
elements in the image which are (Content shown in the image). I can also see
(More elements). One of the element is maximum and other is minimum( 1 is
the smallest element and 9 is the greatest element in the picture.) To
conclude the image is very informative.
 The given image gives information about the integration challenges by age
group. It is a beautiful image and I have to speak 40 seconds about the image.
There are different numbers and colors in the image. I can see elements like
29, 40, 46, 35, 39, 36, 54, 23, 22. The bottom of the image shows the age
groups with 18-34, 35-54 and over 55. To conclude the image is very
informative.
PTE Speaking- Task 4
Retell Lecture
 A audio/video lecture of 40-90 seconds will be given.
 Note the key words while listening the Lecture
 After the audio stops, you will have 10 secs to prepare.
 After 10 seconds the beep sounds will start and you will have to retell the
lecture with maximum content played in 40 seconds.
 Similar 1-2 such tasks will be given.
 It will contribute in Speaking and Listening.
 This task is also accessed in three parameters
Things to take care of in PTE
Retell Lecture
 Fluency- smooth flow, not too fast nor slow
 Avoid hesitation and self correction
 Content- include at least 15 key words from the lecture
 Donot stop, speak and retell the lecture in between 25-35 seconds
 Use the template. Indeed it works.
 You can develop your own template for lectures.
 Focus on the recording timeline as you need to conclude the lecture in the
last sentence.
 At least speak something that was played in the lecture topic and content if
you feel the lecture is confusing.
 Grammar, vocabulary, repetition are also important in PTE.
Template for Retell Lecture
 “Topic” was the main topic of the lecture. He told
about,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. He also told about………………………….Also the
………………………………… was told on the lecture. To conclude the lecture was very
informative.
TIPS
Ready your paper and pen to note down the keywords that the speaker tells. At least
note down 15 such keywords. As soon as the audio stops you need to prepare in just
10 sec and retell the lecture with the keywords that you listened earlier. Donot forget
to conclude about the lecture. Also, try to retell lecture in approximately 35 seconds.
If you couldnot note down the keywords simply use the template and try to retell the
lectures with the topic. Content is important in retell lecture.
PTE Speaking- Task 5
Answer Short Question
 You will have 5-6 general knowledge based questions
 When the audio stops, you will have to speak after a few seconds(1-2 secs).
 Your response should be in between few seconds(5-6 secs)
 This task will contribute in Speaking and Listening sections.
 Single to few words are enough.
Correct Answer 1 points
Incorrect Answer 0 point
Things to take care of in PTE
Answer Short Question
 No need to give complete sentence or phrases response.
 1-3 words are fine
 If not sure, do not stay quiet Instead say I don’t know.
 User the trick. At least repeat few keywords from the question.
 Remind me before 1 week of the exam I will cover Prediction Unit.
 No need to practice too much for this section but you need to increase your
general knowledge library.

 Which is the largest continent? Ans. The Asia
 What we call the thread inside the candle? Ans. A Candle wick
 Mountains that can erupt? Ans. Volcanos
 What we call the study of plant science? Ans. Botany
 What is the guy call who teaches language and short courses? Ans. Tutor
 A machine that is used for mathematic problems? Ans. Calculator
 Who invented electricity? Ans. Benjamin Franklin
 A person who design the concrete? Ans. Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer

Things to remember before Test Start  Check your microphone  Check your pen/ marker and highlighter  Keep yourself comfortable, relax and cool  Ask for Help with officials if any concern with system included  Focus on your score and test  Speak clear and loud  Do not panic, worry, or feel nervous

Personal Introduction  25 seconds to prepare  1 minute to speak about yourself  Not evaluated neither scored  Speak about yourself upto 1 minute.  Hello I am Saroj Subedi, the PTE tutor at Alyon Education Consultancy. I am attending this PTE Test to get the Tutor Qualification Certificate. I helped more than 1000 students with their PTE tutoring till date. As soon as I heard the changes in PTE Test Pattern effective from 16th Nov, 2021 I booked my PTE exam date and I am attending this Test today.

PTE Speaking-Task 1 Read Aloud  Texts are shown on your screen Get prepared in 40 seconds.  After 40 seconds a beep sound will start, your microphone will be opened and start recording you just have to read the texts loud enough.  Similar 6-7 tasks will be given.  These tasks will contribute in Speaking and Reading (Important task)  Basically assessed on three parameters Fluency 5 Pronunciation 5 Content 5

PTE Speaking - Task 2 Repeat Sentence  A sentence of 9-16 words is played.  After less than a second , your recording will start and you will have to repeat the pre-played sentence exactly as you hear it.  10-12 such tasks are given.  Contribute in listening and Speaking. Important Task  Basically assessed on three parameters Fluency 5 Pronunciation 5 Content 3

Things to remind in PTE Repeat Sentence  Fluency means going in a smooth flow, not too fast: Avoid hesitations and self corrections.  Pronunciation means speaking clearly: not your accent.  Content – Do not skip words, content is important. 1. 100 % content will give 3 out of 3 points 2. 50 % content will give 2 out of 3 points 3. less than 50 % content will only give 1 out of 3 points  Do not stop  Initial preparation and understanding the playback is important. You have to make strategies to memorize the playback.

PTE Speaking - Task 2 Describe Image  You will have an image (line, pie chart, map, etc) on the screen.  You will have 25 seconds to prepare and 40 seconds to speak.  3-4 such tasks are given after 16th of Nov 2021.  Contribute only in Speaking.  Assessed on three parameters. Things to take care of in PTE Describe Image  Fluency- smooth flow, not too fast nor slow  Avoid hesitation and self correction  Content- include the key words shown in the image  Donot stop speak and describe the image in between 20-30 seconds  Use the template. Indeed it works.  You can develop your own template for different images.  Focus on the recording timeline as you need to conclude the image in the last sentences.  At least speak something if you feel the figure is confusing.
  • 14. Template for Describe Image  The given image gives information about (title). It is a very beautiful image and I have to speak for 40 seconds about this image. There are different elements in the image which are (Content shown in the image). I can also see (More elements). One of the element is maximum and other is minimum( 1 is the smallest element and 9 is the greatest element in the picture.) To conclude the image is very informative.  The given image gives information about the integration challenges by age group. It is a beautiful image and I have to speak 40 seconds about the image. There are different numbers and colors in the image. I can see elements like 29, 40, 46, 35, 39, 36, 54, 23, 22. The bottom of the image shows the age groups with 18-34, 35-54 and over 55. To conclude the image is very informative.

PTE Speaking- Task 4 Retell Lecture  A audio/video lecture of 40-90 seconds will be given.  Note the key words while listening the Lecture  After the audio stops, you will have 10 secs to prepare.  After 10 seconds the beep sounds will start and you will have to retell the lecture with maximum content played in 40 seconds.  Similar 1-2 such tasks will be given.  It will contribute in Speaking and Listening.  This task is also accessed in three parameters

Things to take care of in PTE Retell Lecture  Fluency- smooth flow, not too fast nor slow  Avoid hesitation and self correction  Content- include at least 15 key words from the lecture  Donot stop, speak and retell the lecture in between 25-35 seconds  Use the template. Indeed it works.  You can develop your own template for lectures.  Focus on the recording timeline as you need to conclude the lecture in the last sentence.  At least speak something that was played in the lecture topic and content if you feel the lecture is confusing.  Grammar, vocabulary, repetition are also important in PTE.
  • 17. Template for Retell Lecture  “Topic” was the main topic of the lecture. He told about,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. He also told about………………………….Also the ………………………………… was told on the lecture. To conclude the lecture was very informative. TIPS Ready your paper and pen to note down the keywords that the speaker tells. At least note down 15 such keywords. As soon as the audio stops you need to prepare in just 10 sec and retell the lecture with the keywords that you listened earlier. Donot forget to conclude about the lecture. Also, try to retell lecture in approximately 35 seconds. If you couldnot note down the keywords simply use the template and try to retell the lectures with the topic. Content is important in retell lecture.

PTE Speaking- Task 5 Answer Short Question  You will have 5-6 general knowledge based questions  When the audio stops, you will have to speak after a few seconds(1-2 secs).  Your response should be in between few seconds(5-6 secs)  This task will contribute in Speaking and Listening sections.  Single to few words are enough. Correct Answer 1 points Incorrect Answer 0 point
  • 19. Things to take care of in PTE Answer Short Question  No need to give complete sentence or phrases response.  1-3 words are fine  If not sure, do not stay quiet Instead say I don’t know.  User the trick. At least repeat few keywords from the question.  Remind me before 1 week of the exam I will cover Prediction Unit.  No need to practice too much for this section but you need to increase your general knowledge library.
