About the Project:
URS- Universal Reinsurance System is a reinsurance reconciliation system imbedded in the mother system ‘Stone River’of
Ironshore. It’s currently being used by clients like MFX, OpenCo, OpenBox etc. in US for their reconciliation purposes. It’s
about to be implemented in UK also. URS is more based on Water fall methodology. Insurance policy details (known as DSI
feeds-Direct system Interface information) from various clients were fed into URS, run through modelers, preprocessors,
standardized and fed to Great Plains through nightly batch for reconciliation.
Project activities:
Working as the Lead Genpact resource for the Client “Iron Shore” for their application URS (Universal Reinsurance System for RI
Calculation) I was exercising below activities-
• Taking care of the DSI feeds coming to URS from various other Inward systems as OpenCO, OpenBox, MFX-US, and MFX-starr
and being forwarded to Great Plain system via Smart Connect as general ledger.
• Providing the RI (Reinsurance) / URS impact sign off to these Inward Systems based on insurance expertise and logic.
• Coordinating various stakeholders as the vendors of URS i.e. INPOINT, vendors of OpenCO INTECH/ Agencyport, RI Global

MFX and get them finally loaded to MFX. This is An Agile based Project.
Activities involved:
As a Lead Consultant, I was exercising below activities-
• Developing and enhancing the MFX system for the needs catered by MGAs & TPAs (Managing the General Agents and Third
Party Agents).MGA and TPAs are to be provided with MFX system for their underwriting purposes. Agile methodology is
prevailing.
