2. Tracking shot – The first shot of this clip is a
tracking shot which it uses to focus in to the
frame of picture which makes the photo of the
birthday cake and the girl (Jessie) in focus which
becomes clear. Also it is a wide shot moving in to
a close shot because it comes from far into her
only focusing on one bit its closest to focus on.
This shows viewers that it is the women waking
up viewing her daughter in her dream/mind.
Static shot – The first static shot clip 3 shows
you is at the start where Jessie the little girl is
blowing out her birthday cake. This is a static
shot because the camera is still with no
movement only the things in the camera is the
only thing moving. The shot shows that it is her
birthday and her mom is watching her blow
out her candles.
3. This photo is a mid shot which
shows Sarah’s upper body from her
waist to the top of her head. This
shows the audience what she is
doing involving arms, shoulder, and
head which is mainly in this photo.
This is a shift focus where it will
focus Sarah while she is getting
out of her hospital bed it will stop
focusing her and shift onto the
heart beat monitor which tells the
audience that suspense is building
up.
4. This is a close up showing only her
face showing her state she is in and
her emotion more clear.
These shots took her while Sarah is
running away from the dark corridors
which something is chasing her
which is called a POV shot where it
provokes to the audience that the
film is about darkness and fear.
5. In this scene this is called a
trombone shot therefore it
zooms out and in at the
same time creating a effect
which shows good
background effect and builds
suspense.
This is called a 360 shot which the
camera twirls around the point of
view it is focusing on and spirals
round looking at all points of the
women crying.
6. This is a 2 shot which contains
a camera shot with only two
people showing emotions clear
around two characters.
This is a close up which shows
just her face and shoulders
which puts the point across of
her feelings and emotions set
in her face.
