2. Shot 1
This camera shot is a tracking shot. It is slowly moving towards the cake as it focuses
on it.The scene starts blurry/out of focus, and as it moves towards the cake, it
becomes focuses and clear. It does this to draw the audiences attention to the cake,
and what is happening.

3. Shot 2
This shot is a static shot. It allows us to try and understand where the character is, and
what has happened.There are no movements in order to not distract us.

4. Shot 3
This shot is a POV (Point ofView). It shows the viewer the point of view of the mother
watching her daughter blow the candles out on her cake. It allows the viewer to see
the situation from the perspective of the mother. It is also a static shot.

5. Shot 4
This is a close-up shot of the birthday cake. It gives us one last look at the cake before
the candles are blown out.The close up shot allows us to get a detailed look at the
birthday cake.

6. Shot 5
This camera shot is a hand held. It allows the camera to follow what Sarah is doing,
and where she is going/heading.We start to get an understanding of what is
happening.

7. Shot 6
This shot is at a cantered angle. We can see that something may be about to happen.
We can see Sarah’s reflection in the monitor screen, suggesting that she is going
somewhere.The cantered angle tells us that something isn’t quite right.

8. Shot 7
This is a mid-shot. It is static. It allows us to concentrate on Sarah’s face, which we see
is highly confused.We get an understanding of what emotions are running through
her mind.

9. Shot 8
Shot 8 is a trombone shot. A trombone is a shot process in which consists of moving
the camera towards the subject while simultaneously zooming out of her.This creates
an effect of isolation and loneliness.

10. Shot 9
This shot is a steadicam shot. It allows the camera operator to smoothly move away
from Sarah.This allows us to get a good idea of her surroundings, and allows us to
keep up with the action. Steadicam provides the viewer with a smooth shot of the
action.

11. Shot 10
This shot is a POV shot from whatever is chasing her in the hospital corridor.This
allows us to see how far away the “thing” is from her.

12. Shot 11
This shot is a steadicam shot, which allows us to follow the action as it happens.We
see it pan from right to left following Sarah grab onto the other person.The camera
then circles around the two as Sarah is crying.We also get an idea of the surroundings
again, and shows the people going past the two.

13. Shot 12
This is a static shot of Juno crying. It is a static shot because it allows us to
concentrate on the emotions that are going through her mind, and conveys a deeper
image of sadness in the viewers mind.

14. Shot 14
This is another steadicam shot. It follows a path away from the two, and eventually
fades into black, to reveal the title screen. It establishes the surroundings, and shows
the other people in the hospital.
