Flip flop is 1 bit memory cell.
To increase the storage capacity we have to
use group of flip flops. This group of ff is
known as Register.
The n bit register consist of n number of ff
and is capable of storing n bit word.

O Counter is a sequential circuit. A digital
circuit which is used for a counting pulses
is known counter.
O Counters can be designed by need for
example we can make counters which can
count 0 to 10 or 10,0.
