2. Analysis of film poster 1
This poster suggests it’s a horror movie and the signs are:
in the poster there are flaming fire around the girl and that
shows hell and there are also hand around her which
suggests that these hands is devils hand and the title is
linked with it which is 'Drag me to hell' which show that
this movie is all about horror and scary devils. It also says in
the explanation that she have a great life but she is going
to hell.
3. Analysis of film poster 2
The similarities between this poster and poster 1 are that
the 2 posters got the same genre which is horror and you
can tell that this poster is about horror because its about
zombies and dead people who comeback to life.
This poster is not classic horror because you can tell by the
way the guy is sounded by zombies and his no too worried
about it also most of the zombies are funny looking and
not scary. Also the sub title says that its comedy with
zombies so its not going to be scary as poster1.
4. Hybrid Genres
What are Hybrid genres? Is a fiction that combines the elements and themes together from two or more
different genres
What genres have been combined in these 2 trailers 'Cowboys and Aliens' and 'Dark Shadows'? In these
two trailers they have the same genre which is Fantasy because they both used imaginary elements but
in their own way because they are different movies and different stories.
What aspects are convectional of a particular genre? In cowboys and Aliens it uses the perspective of old days
cowboys and horses but it also combines it with imagination because they made aliens come to their village and
start sucking humans into their ships and its unexpected to find Aliens with cowboys.
In Dark shadows its modern days but there is this vampire who lived in a grave for more than 100 years and then
come out to take revenge and the fantasy thing is that they have used vampires in modern days and used two
different time.
5. Research Task Evidence
1. Choose a film genre and 4 films from that genre. Upload and annotate them in terms of their content, use of images, colour and words.
My choice of genre will be horror and my 4 films will be:

3. Saw
4. The conjuring
2. They are all horror movies but they all based on different type of horror some of them are full of blood and the others are jump scares
and spirits moving stuff and more of creepy scenes.
3. Comparison of 4 posters
1. Similarities are:
1. They are all dark to give the scary felling to the reader.
2. Some of the movie got the same props which is Annabelle and they are linked together
3. Same lighting you got that dark theme in the movie dark and quite places to make you prepared for something scary.
2. Differences are:
1. Some of the horror movies doesn’t have to be scary some of them are grows such as saw its all about blood and hard
murdering because he makes the people kill them self's.
2. Codes and convention can be different because of the setting different places and different ways of show terror.
3. Some of them relay on loud noises to scare the audience but others can be quite but terrifying by making the person keep
thinking that something scary is going to happen which keeps you waiting and excited for the rest of the movie.
6. The Boy
1. The dark bit and the light bit makes it
easer for the Audience to focus on
what is important which is the light
bit.
2. Here we can see the boy is setting on
his own and looking at the window
witch shows that his lonely.
3. The word boy is in a different font
which makes you think that the boy is
the most important thing in the
whole movie.
4. Also there is more dark then light
which makes the Audience know that
this movie is negative is full of
sadness and killing its not about
happiness.

Audience know that there is still a
little positivity which brings joy to
some people because most of the
people like happy endings.

• What you expect to see in the movie by
just looking at the picture:
1. It says at the top "every chilled needs to
feel loved" this makes you expect to see
drama in the movie loving romantic
scenes mother or a story about two
couples.
2. The poster shows a hall way and a boy
sitting in the middle this shows that the
house is going to be big creepy and dark.

1. In this poster it all focuses on the dull
because there is nothing around it
which means the all movie is about
the dull.
2. The girl is also laughing but at the
sometime its crying blood which
shows that its happy but at the same
time something is upsetting it so
much because its not just tearing its

personally and shows you that it has
feeling as well.

makes you think about lots of

she got a spirit lives inside it or it
might be a little girl that is cursed and
