6. Style sheet - fonts
These are some of fonts that I liked from the website dafont. I will use one of these for the movies logo. This would appear
in the trailer and also on posters etc.
I chose these fonts in particular as I think that they all have a kind of ‘gritty’ style. This is something that I would want for a
British crime film.
I will use either the colour black or red for the text as I have found movies in these genres often use these colours in there
poster as they are colours often found on movie posters.
7. This is the font that I am going to use for my the logoposter.

38. PRE-PRODUCTION• Style sheet
– Collection of potential choice you could make for your products visuals
(colours, image styles and fonts). Provide some indication of which ones
you will use, where you will use them and reasons why
– This should explore alternatives to everything- don’t just include one
option. Look at several potential aspects to include and reference the ones
you plan to use and why
• Layout Plans
– Potential designs you could do for your product using images, fonts and
colours from style sheet
39. This is a font I will use for text on my poster. This is the font used on many movie posters to show the cast, crew and
companies behind the film. These sections are called billing blocks.
40. Poster ideas
My first idea for the movie poster is that I will have an image of Joe and he will look like an innocent student holding books
and smiling but next to him there is
My second idea for the poster was to have an image of Joe in the style of a school photo and have a gun and a hit list next
to it. This would show that he is a hitman and also that he is a student. He could have it written down on a notebook.
Another idea I had for a poster was that I would have a photo of a fridge door with a photo of Joe on it and a hit list stuck
on with magnets. This combines the innocence of youth with him being a hitman.
Another idea I had was that there would be an image of Joe sat down doing homework but in the other hand there is a gun.
Joe hiding somewhere with someone walking by.

42. DVD Description
Billy is a top student
After having nothing exciting happening in his life he begins getting into street
fights when he is spotted by a mob boss who offers him the chance to get his life
together for the better
But when he finds out that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer he is forced
to jump into the criminal underworld, becoming a hitman. All is going well until a
botched assassination attempt leads to one of England’s toughest criminals trying
to kill him.
43. I am going to make a wanted poster for one of the characters in the film.
44. PRE-PRODUCTION Colour schemes:
This is important for
any visual product.
Talk about the options
you have, the
decisions you are
making and relate
your ideas back to
exiting products and
your target audience.
45. Colour schemes (poster)
For the poster I want the colour scheme to be a mix between light and dark, showing the difference between the light and
dark side of
For the poster, I would like the colour scheme to be quite bright, featuring colours such as white. This is because I want the
poster to look seemingly innocent but on closer inspection it is
The idea for my poster is that I am going to get a photo of Joe smiling wearing bright clothes and looking very normal,
however his shadow is him in the exact same position apart from he is holding a gun.
Or if not that then he will be in front of a mirror.
If not that, I want Joe to be wearing clothing that really makes him blend in with the background so that you need to look
twice to notice that he is there.
51. Pre-production
• What are you making? (explain what you have been asked to
do)
• Why? (What is the purpose of making your Film)
• Who is it for? (Audience)
• Where will it appear/on what? (How will audience see it)
Reflection:
52. What am I making
For my FMP, I am going to make some promotional
material for a film that I came up with. This will
include a poster and a social media account.
On the social media account I will include photos and
clips from the film.
53. Why
The main purpose of me making a film trailer in the
genre of crime/action is to entertain people and to
make them feel excited to go see the film. One of the
reasons that people
The reason that I want to do some adverts alongside
this is because marketing is an important factor when
it comes to raising the popularity of a film and
ensuring that many people know about them.
55. Audience
From my audience research I found that the
main way that people find about new movies
being released is through social media accounts
I also found out that the main place that people
see posters for films placed is at bus stops so it
is important that I make a bold poster that is
going to stand out as many people catch the bus
each day so plenty of people will be seeing this
poster.
56. Where will my trailer be shown
My movie trailer would be shown on social media as I
found out through my research that the way most
people found out about new films is through accounts
on social media.
It will also be uploaded onto social media websites
such as youtube, facebook, twitter and instagram.
From my research I found that my target audience is
mainly the ages so I think that it would help
increase attention to this film if the trailer was shown
57. Where will my movie be advertised
From my audience research, I found that the
place most of my audience finds out about new
movies being released is through social media
so I am going to upload my work to social
media.
I will be making a movie poster for my film.
