3. Style sheet - fonts
These are some of fonts that I liked from the website dafont. I will use one of these for the movies logo. This would appear
in the trailer and also on posters etc.
I chose these fonts in particular as I think that they all have a kind of ‘gritty’ style. This is something that I would want for a
British crime film.
I will use either the colour black or red for the text as I have found movies in these genres often use these colours in there
poster as they are colours often found on movie posters.
4. This is the font that I am going to use for my the logo on my poster.
I am going to do the logo in red or in black as these are very bold colours and are often colours that are often used for
movies such as crime films. By using photoshop I made an example of how I want the logo to look. I made the text black
and added red rectangles behind it so the red standed out more.
I am thinking that the font MMA CHAMP would be good for some smaller writing such as a tagline for the film.
5. This is a font I may use for text on my poster. This is the font used on many movie posters to show the cast, crew and
companies behind the film. These sections are called billing blocks and show all the cast, crew etc.
6. Style sheet- colours
If you look at movie posters in the crime genre, they often use dark colours such as red and black on their posters. I think
the colour red is often used as it has obvious connotations of things like blood and evil, so when you see
The use of darker colours suggests that the movie will be following a more dark or serious tone. Compared to movie such as
comedy films they use a lot of bright colours on the posters as you will automatically know that the movie is lighthearted
and not to be taken as serious.
For this reason I think I will include these colours on my posters. I may also include some brighter colours to kind of contrast
the idea of dark colours meaning evil etc as the main character Billy is only a teenager so he is still quite innocent.
7. WANTED

Another poster that I plan on doing is a wanted poster for
one of the characters in the film. This idea was inspired by
the marketing for the Blair Witch Project as they made
missing posters for the actors in the film.

19. Music list
ACDC- back in black. I chose this song to feature in my trailer as it is a fast paced and lively song. It is not a very original song
to feature in a movie trailer as I’m sure I have heard it featured in many times before.
Rolling Stones- Gimme Shelter. This is also a song that has been used in many movie trailers. It is often used right at the
start of a trailer in movies, right in the build up before the exciting parts happen as it is quite a peaceful song to play before
an exciting moment
20. Poster ideas
My first idea for the movie poster is that I will have an image of Joe and he will look like an innocent student holding books
and smiling but next to him there is
My second idea for the poster was to have an image of Joe in the style of a school photo and have a gun and a hit list next
to it. This would show that he is a hitman and also that he is a student. He could have it written down on a notebook.
Another idea I had for a poster was that I would have a photo of a fridge door with a photo of Joe on it and a hit list stuck
on with magnets. This combines the innocence of youth with him being a hitman.
Another idea I had was that there would be an image of Joe sat down doing homework but in the other hand there is a gun.
Joe hiding somewhere with someone walking by.
Wanted poster.
21. I am going to make a wanted poster for some of the characters in the film. This makes it seem a lot more realistic
22. The idea for my poster is that I am going to get a photo of Joe smiling wearing bright clothes and looking very normal,
however his shadow is him in the exact same position apart from he is holding a gun.
Or if not that then he will be in front of a mirror.
If not that, I want Joe to be wearing clothing that really makes him blend in with the background so that you need to look
twice to notice that he is there.
25. What am I making
For my FMP, I am going to make some promotional
material for a film that I came up with. This will
include posters and a social media account.
On the social media account I will include photos and
a trailer for the film.
26. Why
The main purpose of me making a film trailer in the
genre of crime/action is to entertain people and to
make them feel excited to go see the film.
The reason that I want to do some posters alongside
this is because marketing is an important factor when
it comes to raising the popularity of a film and
ensuring that many people know about them.
27. Audience
From my audience research I found that the main way
that people find about new movies being released is
through social media accounts. For this reason I am
going to post all my work here.
I also found out that the main place that people see
posters for films placed is at bus stops. This means it
is important that I make a bold poster that is going to
stand out as many people catch the bus each day so
plenty of people will be seeing this poster, so I would
want it to be memorable.
28. Where will my trailer be shown
My movie trailer will be uploaded onto social media
websites such as youtube, facebook, twitter and
instagram.
From my research I found that my target audience is
mainly the ages 16-18 so I think that it would help
increase attention to this film if the trailer was shown on
social media as it is used by many young people.
29. Where will my movie be advertised
From my audience research, I found that the
place most of my audience finds out about new
movies being released is through social media
so I am going to upload my work to social
media.
