Composites are materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties, that when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components.
The Project consist of making insulating system for home used water tanks using composite materials in order to preserve the water cooler at hot seasons.
The combination of wood and foam layers plus a reflecting aluminum layer constitute a powerful insulating system preserving cool water in summer time and even preserve the sun heat during winter by removing the upper layer.

3. Testing Different Kinds of Ice
First we want to know that the ice with tissue is stronger than pure ice
and how?
We took pure ice And ice with tissue
We took two different kinds of ice and broke it. The pure ice is
broken to many pieces but the ice with tissue is broken to one
or two pieces .
Conclusion: theice with tissue are stronger than pure ice as
composite .

7. Exploring the difference between
strength and stiffness
First we took a stick of wood , plastic , iron, rope and pasta
then ordering the materials by trying to bend it ..
Finally by The most and least flexibility and
strength we are ranking the materials in table.

12. Product :
Introduction
In summer season most of gulf citizens suffer from a major common problem: the heat. The
temperature of tap water becomes extremely high and sometimes burning and intolerable. We
are proposing a solution that could reduce the water temperature and make it bearable.
How can we insulate the heat from the tanks ??
The materials used in the insulator system are: Wood, Foam, Styrofoam and Aluminum. All
layers are gathered making a laminar composite type as shown in the picture below. And we
can use it in winter to use the reflect sun ray and heat to heat the water by opening one layer.

13. The product
Test the smart insulator
The smart insulator is tested in the morning during one hour. The pictures
below show that the water temperature without insulation was around
37,6°C. The temperature of water inside the insulated ‘tank’ reached only
26,6°C.

The conclusion :
thanks to our insulation system we succeeded to reduce the temperature of water
around 10°C.
14. Product:
The advantages of the product :-
- You can have a non-hot water.
- You can have a cheap product.
- You can buy it from anywhere.
- You can make it at home.
- You can buy the materials of the
product from anywhere.
- You can use it in summer and
winter.
The material used were inexpensive
and available. This product could
works during summer to insulate
heat and winter to keep the water
worm.
Other insulation materials could be
used in this product such as
Rockwool insulator or Fleece
thermal. Their introduction into
composite materials could make
difference in temperature.
