2. 2. Achieve Universal Primary Education
This resonates for me because I think that education is extremely important for
everyone to be treated equally and children deserve that. I also believe that if
education is universal it will create less problems for our future generations. More
children in schools means more opportunities, better outcomes in later life
compared to no school, and gives more kids more help.
3. How can your interest be applied locally?
Speak with your representatives! Lobbying! Voting! Attending public forums! There
are so many ways for anyone to get involved with local government especially state
representatives. Local elections make a huge difference in overall nation wide
policies. Speaking and lobbying for universal education can be conveyed through
phone, e-mail, letters, social media, anything.
4. Where can I make the greatest contribution?
I think I can make the greatest contribution by being an advocate for children and
supporting the education system. I can do this both now, as a normal citizen, but I
can also, hopefully soon, do it as a teacher or administrator.
5. Is there a feature of social media that can be uniquely
applied to this goal?
I would say, youtube and online education could help this goal because that could
widen the net of who is able to get education. I would also say Facebook or
Instagram would be helpful to spread awareness about universal education and the
advantages it can have for everyone.
