Sustainability is the process of maintaining change in a
balanced fashion, in which the exploitation of resources,
the direction of investments, the orientation of
technological development and institutional change are
all in harmony and enhance both current and future

If not introduced, introduce first
Hi. Who likes to be in nature? Doing hikes, or other mother nature things we can do out in the open
….ask audience… what they like and find connection.
I do.. I like the harmony of nature. I also like the diversity of nature and how everything is in balance.
Why do I start talking about nature while we are here on an agile tour?
Well. We can learn from nature……… and I really want to share this idea with you. Not about how to hug a tree, but how we can improve our daily work inspired by nature.
In my years of experience in change management I have seen and experienced a lot of so called agile implementations. But I also have seen a lot of agile/devops/continuous delivery/cloud/cloud native/scrum or some other buzz word implementations going wrong.
I am always curious why some things work and some things don’t. Why does it work at the other team or organization and not for my team or organization …. Or the other way around?
To me this has been caused by by two things. First we sometimes really do not know why we want to do agile or something else from the buzz word bingo and when the change is initiated the people who need to change are not involved doing change, they are overcoming it.
Now back to nature. In these 20 minutes I would like to go with on a tour through nature and our day to day reality.
As said…nature can teach us to become, be and stay agile.
But how? Well all the solutions are around us and even in us
So let’s go!......
First start with the definition of sustainability.
As you can read balance, harmony and foreseeing in current and future potential are highlighted. And that is also what is all about. Balance, Harmony and future potential. Not quick wins to meet your project goals.
The definition is easy to read, but HOW do we do this?
Vertel ook wat het betekent
Loop ze allemaal rustig af en praat er rustig doorheen.
I am not going to talk about frameworks or methodologies. I want to talk about changing behavior inspired by nature
Task of dividing tasks. ONE goal and that is where everyone is working for
Workers fly out to collect food and than remain their tasks
Explain how they work. By giving simple rules
Explain how they work. By giving simple rules
All changes are based on nature’s principles
Understanding the Operating System For nearly 4billionyears, all organisms living on earth have faced the same basic conditions, and to survive have followed three basic rules:
1.Sense, respond, and adapt to changing conditions.
2.Live within the limits of Earth’s systems.
3.Support their ecosystems while supporting themselves.
Nature uses everything what is available and will use it to leverage.
Explore continuously look around you and what is going on in relation to your vision
Envision is what you do together
Be patienced in the change. If you want to go fast, go
Do the change quick. Ros door die U heen
Trust yourself. When it does not feel right, do not do it. Find out later why.
