INT. TERRACE HOUSE - NIGHT1 1
ALEX sits drinking with his friend SAM in the DINNING ROOM
surrounded by drunk strangers all of a similar age: late
teens. All are dancing, drinking and occasionally throwing up
in the sink, Alex and Sam are making drinks and having a good
time talking and laughing about stories from previous parties
they've been to. Alex is 19, he has dark brown hair and eyes,
he’s wearing a patterned shirt that you would likely wear on
holiday and jeans as the party is very casual. Sam is also
19, he’s wearing a red shirt and brown trousers, he has black
hair and brown eyes.The room is lit a dark green and loud
strange dance music can be heard close by as it echoes
throughout the many rooms of the house. Sam knew that Alex
liked the atmosphere of house parties and he'd made sure that
they would both be invited to this special event, the
mysterious Buer family party that would be thrown every year
was said to be a crazy monumental occasion that would be
thrown in a different location every year, it is a very
exclusive event yet normal people selected seemingly at
random are given invites.
Alex: I still can't believe we're
here, imagine what people will think
when we tell them we've been to the
Buer family party
Sam:(swallowing his drink) do you
wanna know how I got the invites?
Alex: go on, how?
Sam:pure luck, I just found them in
my pocket a few days ago (he holds
up the Buer ticket invitation for
two)
Alex: creepy... (he takes a drink)
Sam checks the time on his phone
Sam:hey I'm going upstairs to have a
drinking contest with some guy I met
earlier, you wanna join?
Alex: you know I'm not good at those
sorts of things, I'm gonna stay down

Sam: see you later (Sam exits
upstairs
Alex stares at a large painting on the wall as time passes
the drink in his glass get lower. A loud thump is heard above
Alex on the second floor. Everyone looks up and immediately
they go back to what they were doing. Alex heads out of the
dinning room to find out what just occurred upstairs,worried
that it's connected to Sam. The camera follows him as he
walks from the dinning room the staircase which is bathed in
a blue light. Making his way up the staircase distant
mutterings can be heard
STRANGER: (Whispering) quickly. hide
it. quickly.
When Alex reaches the stairway he can see a STRANGER leaning
over the banister talking to himself. The stairway is lit red
and splits off into three rooms; the bathroom and two
bedrooms of which both doors are closed. The noise came from
the bedroom furthest away from the stairs which the Stranger
is blocking its path. The Stranger has short black hair
covered by a hat and is visibly drunk, he’s wearing black
trousers and a white t-shirt. The stairway is short of space
and therefore brings a certain sense of intensity and
claustrophobia
ALEX: are you okay? Did you hear
that noise?
STRANGER: (with slurred speech) I’m
fine but the guy I was drinking with
passed out(he points to the closed
door of the room behind him)
ALEX: Sam...
STRANGER: Drank too much. He’ll be
fine, but you might want to check on

ALEX: Aright, I’ll take him home
(Alex says this as he walks past the
Stranger to the closed door)
Alex grabs the door handle and begins to push revealing a
pitch black room. We see that the Stranger is smiling now
that Alex is about to step into the room. Alex is pushed
inside and the door is closed behind him
ALEX: (frantically banging on the
door) Hey! Let me out! Open the
Door!
Alex turns on the light which illuminates the room in a deep
red. the music being played from downstairs is distant and
distorted and laughter is coming from the other side of the
door. ALEX turns to face the room he’s in. the large bedroom
is barely illuminated yet unusual paintings can be seen red
tint of the room
ALEX:(staring into the corner of the
room) gasps
A dark tall FIGURE emerges from the corner of the room and is
walking towards ALEX, it is wearing all black robes that
would be used in some kind of ritual and a mask that fulfills
it’s intended purpose of disturbing any who may have the
misfortune of seeing it. in it’s hand is a large cleaver made
for easily cutting through flesh and bone. The FIGURE walks
at a slow purposeful pace,whoever is under the mask is
clearly taking pleasure in the knowledge that their victim is
trapped with no means of escape
ALEX: (desperately attacking the
door) Help! Open the fucking door
now! (Alex turns and sees the figure
getting closer. Fear causes Alex to
collapse and tremble on the ground)
When Alex falls to the ground he sees Sam's lifeless body
stuffed under the bed. Alex looks up to see through his tears
that would be next as the Figure looms over Alex and raises
the cleaver.
ALEX:(crying) pleas-
The knife swings down. Alex's bloody face is revealed before
the title appears on screen
