MajorJob duties and assignments:-
Responsibilities as Process Engineer -
 Review of in-house engineering works including Process Calculations, Drawings, PFD and
P&ID development using HYSYS software and check also vendor's proposal studies, streams
Specifications and Data Sheets for the new project.
 Preparing risk assessments.
 Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and
to ensure safety regulation compliance.
 Interpret safety regulations for others interested in industrial safety such as safety engineers,
labor representatives, and safety inspectors.
Responsibilities as Commissioning Engineer -
 Ensuring that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's
Engineering guidelines and specifications, industry codes and standards, and regulatory agency
requirements to meet necessary functionality and performance requirements.
 Follow up the design works of consultants [JP Kenny, England, Petrofac, GENESIS,
Samsung Eng. Company LTD] for the new projects.
 Review, Execute and follow up the project schedule and developing the project progress.
 Re-organize the work force according to work load.
 Conduct and Attend HAZOP study and SIL assessment about different units.
 Determine the critical path for the project activities.
 Ensure the completion; close out of all commissioning activities and start-up documentation in
accordance with Company standards.
 Providing technical support to the Company's gas operations
 Reviewing project completion reports including mechanical completion certificates, equipment
data sheets and as-built drawings.
 Ensure That Emergency Plan Response Is Implemented.
 Working with other managers, project engineers and discipline leads to develop budgets,
schedules and plans for the various elements of the project, ensuring that the project meets or
exceeds goals established in these plans
 Manage the Pre-commissioning commissioning, punch list, start-up and the performance testing.
 Enforce Company Safety Policy.
Responsibilities as Operation Engineer-
 Preparing black start-up & shutdown procedures including isolation registers.
 Reporting the daily production report & process activities to the main head office in Cairo.
 Participate in the following safety inputs;
i. Auditing the following (Control of Work COW, Permit to Work PTW, Isolation
Completion Certificate ICC, Lock Out / Tag Out LOTO, Integrity Report, and Lifting Plan)
ii. Preparing the Emergency Drill Report & Preparing the Process Safety Near Miss Report.
iii. Preparing the Incident Investigation Report.
 Manage chemical consumption and the availability of spare parts.
 Follow up process vessels inspection and cleaning.
 Carry out normal operation and troubleshooting with very good command of DCS & FSC
systems.
 Check the efficiency of the different equipment and discuss the causes and the different
alternatives.
 Carry out gas calculations and unit's performance check.
 Follow up all PM's & CM's for all the equipment in the plant.
